R/R/CS: Today was a very rough day as I attended the funeral of a friend's mom. She was like a second mom to me growing up. I got to spend some time with my dad as me went with me. They were good friends. After the funeral I wanted to visit my grandma as I do not remember the last time I saw her. She's 86 and I worry about her every day. As far as I know she's in good health giving her age but you never know. However she wasn't home when I went over but I did leave her a note.

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts?  Contacts since high school; started wearing glasses in 2nd grade. Now I only wear glasses after work around the house. I need to update my glasses as I don't feel comfortable wearing them to drive (never know when I may need too).

R/R/CS: A friend of mine lost her dad this week. Just got home from the wake. It is obviously really upsetting news, but I have been surprised at how hard I am taking it...I wish there was more I could do for her. We are friends, but not super close, so I have had a hard time deciding how much to reach out because everyone grieves differently. 

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts. Nope. I have surprisingly good vision. My dad used to hold up soda cans across the kitchen table and ask me to read the ingredients. Yep...we are a strange family!

R/R/CS: This morning (I thought?) I had some mild cramping but I don't trust myself during the tww. I've been known to imagine symptoms and then convince myself of them while ttc in the past. DH is very anxious about a BFP so he constantly asks me how I'm feeling/if I "feel" pregnant. It only encourages my imagination! I can't blame him though. It's sort of sweet to see him so excited about being a dad. It's all he talks about.

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts. No I don't. Sometimes I feel like I should, but the thought of having to wear glasses and smudge my makeup is disturbing. Almost as disturbing as having to push a little disk in my eye. Yikes!

@angeltennis3 I'm sorry to hear about your loss. There's been times where I've taken a death harder than I thought I would too. Like someone I didn't really know that well. But I think it has had more to do with seeing how lost the family is without them and so I feel hurt and sad for the family and wish there was some way for me help. The funeral time can be so hectic... most people don't really let the grieving begin until after all of that has died down and reality starts to sink in. In my opinion, that is the best time to reach out.

@Kiki75 thanks! My mom always says her biggest parenting regret is not taking us to the eye doctor for regular checkups...we know it should be done, but we moved around a lot, so doctor and dentist got priority (NEVER missed those until I was out on my owjjn, but that's another story, haha) and we just never made eyes a top priority..I know there can be serious issues that can be caught even if your eyesight is still "good"....now that we're settled in Sweden, maybe I'll make it a priority again....it's so hard when you're moving continents every few years (but I shouldn't make excuses)

Testing: Not yet but will do a test out of the trigger.

Timing: +2, 1

R/R/CS: Yesterday was my 2nd IUI so that was awesome we were able to go forward with it...and the dr said everything was super ideal...so fingers crossed. Otherwise long day today but looking forward to the weekend and some friends coming to visit. 

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts? Nope...though I do own 2 pairs of expensive glasses that I attempt to wear and then decide isn't worth it...until I get eye strain at work...then sometimes I try again to wear them.

@BecauseLove It's nice to see you posting--I haven't seen you around in awhile.  I just wanted to let you know that you posted on a thread from June--which is no problem!  If you want to post on Today's thread, you should be able to find it on the first page of the TTGP list of threads.

I'm glad to hear the IUI went well!  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

beary67 haha..TWW fail! Thanks! Yeah I was pretty much benched from after my trip until the start of this cycle. I did post a little on the Infertility side of things but took the time off from the TTC board because I just started a new business and have been swamped. Good to see you too! I will jump over to the one from this week..

First Post!

Cycle: 1! 

CD/DPO: 26 (cycle is 34 days)/ 8dpo

Testing: Already tried, yes I know I'm early but so anxious!

Timing: -6, -4, -2, 0

R/R/CS: I have been extremely tired and have had some weird feelings in my stomach (almost like gas?) but I also cannot yet differentiate between a normal cycle and pg since this is only my second month off of the pill!

GTKY: Do you wear glasses/contacts: Nope, onto my third year of lasik, best decision ever!

Hello I have tried to understand what the questions mean but can't figure out! I even tried googling all the abbreviations lol. I am newbie and in my first 2ww....it's terrible!!! I am 8 dpo, I used the CB digital to track ovulation, yesterday I had pinkish spotting and hot flushes, today I couldn't eat my breakfast....I was turned right off from it....my breasts are sore but not terribly and I am light headed.....it's hard not to symptom spot but gosh waiting another 3-4 days to test is torture....

@dvallis It will be a HUGE help to you to read the Newbie Guide pinned to the top of the TTGP community.  It contains a wealth of information plus all the acronyms that we use so frequently.  Our community if full of knowledgable and smart women who are willing to share their research and experiences!
