I got a WTF at H's employer.  He manages a big box retailer, and they want to promote him to take over the biggest store in the chain.  It would mean commuting back into NYC at an additional 7K a year,  a lot more stress, likely many more hours, and a big effect on quality of life, but also a great stepping stone to a bigger district manager position that he's been gunning for for a few years now.  Which all sounds great and like a reasonable sacrifice until they throw in that they want him to agree to start Monday, but haven't been able to get an answer to what (if any tbh) salary increase he would be getting to do so.  WTF?!?

WTF to DH today.  He called to tell me that he had contacted a possible job training program to switch careers but wanted my input today.  I honestly just want him to be happy so I told him to go for it.  He kept asking me over and over if I was sure.  Finally I said okay you don't want me to be the supportive wife so don't do it.  He's meeting with the guy tonight.

WTF to the person who comes into our multi-purpose room every weekend and steals our dish soap and leaves just a bit that they mix with water so it still looks green. just buy your own damn soap!

My WTF is to one of my clients. She e-mails me and if I don't respond within 15 minutes she e-mails both of my boss' to complain that I'm ignoring her.  98% of the time if I'm not answering you it's because I need to check with them on the answer to your question or I'm too busy to check my e-mail in the first place

My WTF is to my co-workers who don't have anything else to talk about other than babies and getting pregnant. They are older women of non childbearing age...Do you seriously have nothing else to talk about then to grill all the women in their 20-30's about when they're going to have kids? How many? And all the details involved. I'm just over here trying not to cry because I have been having a bad couple days with dealing with ttcal and the constant pregnancy announcements everywhere I go....I kind of want to line them all up and...........

They have been talking about their labor experiences for literally an hour. Um wasn't that 30+ years ago? Please move on and find something else to discuss or how about this...do some work!

I manage a community organization under a Board of Directors and have a ton of autonomy because I only see the vast majority of them a couple of times at month at meetings. But there's one board member who is notorious for being on EVERY committee in town and basically making everything more difficult than it needs to be on a daily basis. He clogs up every meeting with his unpopular opinions, never lets anything go, is incredibly argumentative and over-dramatic. Well he called me to check on a detail of a meeting tomorrow and was throwing a hissy fit over a stupid detail that he was determined that I was wrong about and basically required me to go back through a ton of correspondence to ensure that I actually knew what I was talking about. The whole time I was on the phone with him I was silently screaming, pretending to throw the phone, kick furniture, etc, all the while being polite through gritted teeth. And I was right, of course. Now I have to sit through TWO meetings with him tomorrow and I'm already annoyed with him. I'm going to need a valium by the time it's over.

WTF to DH's boss who made him go back in to work last night @ 7pm for something that should have taken 1 hr but his boss screwed it up and he had to stay until 11pm!  Since he stayed so late at work last night he decided to sleep in this morning and for some reason that has screwed up my whole day!  Nothing ruins your Friday like realizing it is only Wednesday!

I saw 15 pregnant women through the course of my day.  I didn't mean to count, but they just kept showing up.  It's like every woman of childbearing age at my medical center is pregnant.  Except me.  Got home, and there comes another one (16!) walking her dog in front of my house.

Going to piggy back on @cabu14 's WTF and say WTF to so many pregnancy announcements/gender reveals on FB this week. Seriously. Every single person from my HS is KU, I swear.

WTF I am having a baby shower at my house on Saturday for my sister. It's stressing me out thinking about people asking me when I am going to have a baby.

Wtf to DH last night...

I was venting a bit to him about how it sucks and how infertility is a big pill to swallow. 

1. He says "you aren't infertile, we are just having trouble and it hasn't happened yet".  Oh, so then what is the  reason I've been seeing an RE and getting things shoved up into my uterus and getting poked more times than I can count?  No, I don't ovulate well, have signs of PCOS and a blocked tube. And he has minor SA issues.  This is what infertility is! For gods sake google something once in a while. We likely aren't going to get pregnant without medical intervention.  His SA write up even recommended assisted insemination

2. Then he says , maybe there is a  bigger reason (as in higher power reason) it hasn't  happened. Oh yeah? Like what?? NO.  There is a MEDICAL reason it hasn't happened yet.  

I swear, does he not listen to a word I say?

WTF to the weather -

We had 2 feet of HAIL last night in Omaha! It started raining around 3:30am...if I read the clock right. It was a fast rainfall, then out of nowhere it started hailing! This isn't snow, it's HAIL!
 
It scared the crap out of DH and I. We also live in an older house (built in the 1920s), so the drains in the neighborhood suck. We had to stop flushing or using water because our backflow system kicked in. Thankfully it did, or we would have had some major flooding.

@DoctorDonna that hail is insane!!  I've never seen that much at once!  I'm glad it turned out okay though!!

WTF to DH's job. They are sending him to Chicago next week and I really don't want him to go but he agreed cause he thinks it will make him look good, which is great I get it. But I hate when he goes on business trips. He's been on 2 so far this year and has 3 more scheduled from June-August. And I am right in the middle of my TWW so hes totally going to miss me testing next week. And leaving me care for our DS alone. I know its silly but I just hate when hes gone all week.

@DoctorDonna that is crazy! Luckily we never really get hail like that in my area. 

@JediAlly85 I feel your pain. My DH has to travel quite a bit for his job. At least once every two months or so. He has a job scheduled this month right before or possibly during my FW. It sucks. I'm not getting any younger and missing my FW isn't going to help me get pregnant any faster.

WTF to H's best friend and the best man at our wedding. We went to his place for drinks last night because he got a fancy new job. He proceeded to get hammered and tell me how he tried to talk H out of marrying me because we were "rushing into it" and that when I dropped H off for his bachelor party, the reason I had to drop him off so early was so that best friend could have a conversation with H about making sure this was the right thing to do because we're so young (24 at the time) and he has his whole life ahead of him.

Like... why are you telling me this right now? I may or may not have been unreasonably offended.

@JediAlly85 I know that frustrating feeling of being alone, minus caring for a child. My husband doesn't travel for work, but he travels with his band. In November, he was gone for a month to Europe, and while he was gone my grandpa passed away. I had to plan and organize a funeral without my loving husband to comfort me. My husband also goes on smaller weekend trips to play shows. And when he was gone in March, my grandma passed away. I've told him that for the sake of everyone I love, he can never leave me again. 

I hope your time without your husband passes quickly. I can say from experience that sometimes, even a day or two apart can be difficult. I'm sorry he has so many days away from you scheduled.

I don't think being offended is unreasonable at all!

Being offended doesn't sound unreasonable at all to me, I would be furious!  That is the same age I was when I got married too!

@JediAlly85 @MooFish2364 I second the WTF to DH's job...he has to travel a lot for work and since I have started charting bbt we have missed the FW 4/6 cycles due to his job and him being out of town. I have been so frustrated, at his work christmas party last year when his boss asked if we were thinking of having a baby soon I wanted to be like- well I would love to get KU if you wouldn't send my husband to another country or state every month. End rant.

This is a positive WTF...a few days ago we moved from Los Angeles to Minneapolis. Everything is so cheap! Filled up with gas at $1.97, and the grocery store I just left was SO cheap! Eggs $.89, cucumbers  $.39, big bag of cheese $2.99! The list goes on and on. I kept looking shocked and saying "wow, look!" to my DH and lady next to me said, "you must not shop here often?"

@Dilynne You should slash his best friends tires.  Seriously, if DH's best friend did that we'd never speak again.  My best friend told me to break up with DH when we first got together and let's just say she is now my former best friend.

My WTF Wednesday is my coworker/friend.  My friend's younger sister, who I was friendly with, was a recent college grad and needed a job, so I sent her resume to my boss.  They hired here and she's been working here for a few months.  She is really immature and just not a great employee so we keep switching around her positions.  Last week I heard she's trying to get me fired and told my boss that she refuses to work with me and told HR that because of me she's looking for a new job, so now they're considering changing my positions (and I worked from the most entry level position they have and was made an office manager, so I worked so hard for my position).  I am furious with her, there is no gratitude.  Then yesterday I realized she blocked me on Facebook.  What the actual F***?  How immature can she be?

WTF to the nurses at my doctor's offices. I had a consult appointment this morning with my OBGYN to get a referral to an RE, but when I checked in the nurse said I need a referral from my PCM. Not sure why they waited until I show up today to tell me, but whatever. So I go downstairs to my PCM's office. The nurse there tells me she can't do it. Her reason: we don't take your insurance. Um, yeah you do. I was just here last month. Then she tells me my insurance doesn't need referrals. Um, yeah they do or I wouldn't be here asking for one. We go back and forth for a while until finally I convince her to work on it and go to leave to wait upstairs in my OBGYN's office. She proceeds to bitch to all the other nurses how the office upstairs shouldn't be sending patients to get on-demand referrals. I really wanted to say something to her, but was in no mood to argue with an idiot.

So, I get upstairs and the nurse there is bitching to another nurse about how the nurse downstairs needs to learn how to do her job and she won't help her with the referral. I just stood there stunned. I made myself sit down and tried to calm down before I hauled off and slapped her. But, she started up again with a different nurse. So I went up to her desk and asked her to please stop and that she was being rude with me sitting there having to listen to her. She eventually apologized, but by then I was fuming. She could tell, so she called the office manager to help. I was then told there is no way the referral can be done today and I would need to reschedule.

After I did all that running around and waiting for over an hour, I left there in tears. What an awful way to spend the morning of my birthday! I was already emotional because FF took my CH away after my temp dropped and then I got some stupid notification from TB telling my the size of my baby. WTAF???!!??

Luckily, I grabbed a business card for the RE they had on the counter and called and made an appointment when I got home. The nurse there was much nicer and said she would help with a referral if I never hear back from my PCM. I also stopped and did a little shopping for myself and am starting to feel much better. 

Update: They just called while I was typing this and managed to get the referral done. So now I have to go back to the OBGYN this afternoon to meet with the doctor so that he can give me another referral to an RE. I really hate my insurance!!

So....a new thread for this week hasn't been started but there are recent comments so I'm going with this one.

I got home 2 hrs 30 mins ago to find my key would not open the door. Had to call a lock smith - he was late and when he did eventually turn up looked like an absolute cowboy and it transpired after 45 mins of his feeble attempts to unlock the door - he didn't have the right tools.

2nd locksmith eventually arrives with an serious attitude - completely ripped us off £59+vat quickly turned into £205 - but he did manage to get us in and fit a new lock.

It's now 8.20pm and I have to cook dinner and meal prep for tomorrow. Awesome

And yes - I'm bumping about it first because I need to release.

I can't believe how freaking rude people are! The nurses at my GP's office are the same way. You would think that people working at a place like a doctor's office would have a little more compassion! Ugh, I'm sorry that awful experience happened on your birthday nonetheless.
