When did u see/hear a heart beat?

Hi all!
Had my first u/s today, all went well! RE saw and showed us gestational sac and yolk also told us before starting that we may not see/hear a heart beat yet because I'm still early (6w1d according to him but sonogram says 6w4d) although we did see a flicker. Second u/s scheduled for the 25th. Would love to hear your stories and calm my nerves a bit, lol. TIA!

Happy almost weekend!

    Hi @prayingmom2be.
Due to bleeding I had an us at 5+6 days and saw just the sac and maybe a yolk, but that was it.
At 6+3 days I had a new us. Saw embryo and a tiny little flicker.
That tiny little flicker was stronger at 8+3 days and I saw it again at 9+1 day.
I still have not heard it though.
But my baby is 10 weeks today so I guess just seeing the little flicker is all it needs

so fantastic news you saw it!

My RE doesn't schedule US before 7 weeks for that very reason. We saw the heartbeat at that time. Hearing it was much later...I'm going to say around 12 weeks? I got a home doppler around 10 weeks and had trouble consistently finding it before 12-13 weeks (turns out I also have an anterior placenta which didn't help).

Our first US was scheduled at 6w2d, but we also ended up having one in the ER at 5w5d...both times we saw the heart beat. Heard it for the first time at our appt at 12w3d. Good luck! You'll see/hear it, just takes a little (more) time and patience
