This brought tears to my eyes, thank you for sharing @StephyM89. Trying to get pregnant has definitely made me feel so weak and defeated. This article puts things in another perspective. Looking at our infertility as a gift is the only helpful way to look at it. We can either let it get us completely down, or we can learn and grow. We may as well do the latter.

I like this article because it isn't condescending like "it will come if you stop thinking about it", its practical and accepts that we are all crazy control freaks who spend hours upon hours with Dr. Google trying to remedy our situations. Embrace the situation and start to prepare...I love it!

Yes, thanks for sharing! This year we are tackling home updates, something we had been doing little by little but are now trying to get through all at once. I just commented to my husband the other night how it was nice that we are able to spend all of our free time working on getting the house looking good, without worrying about a little one. I'm also taking care of myself a lot better these days, which is great no matter what happens. I still have low days though, and I'm sure I'll be re-reading this as a reminder to be thankful no matter what.
@lablover78 - That is hard to do sometimes, but this is definitely motivational to do so! @Ducks&Cats - That is exactly how I felt! I personally can't stand the "It will happen when it happens" speech. @mouse315 - That is so wonderful to hear, we are doing the same....and actually using the extra time to help us save a little more financially....at the end...all of that will only benefit your baby to be!
Again, so glad that this article was able to reach others as well!

Thanks so much for sharing this! I've tried to do this throughout the process, but it almost felt like I was cheating on my baby-to-come! Like I was trying to convince myself that I don't really want to be a mom or something. Seeing it framed as becoming the best mom you can be really helps with looking for the bright side!
@purpleturtle85 - That is how I was feeling too! I was trying to convince myself how much more amazing the childless lifestyle was, but then feeling bad afterwards, and knowing that that was not what I wanted. I find this perspective much more healthy and positive!
@Worldtravler0522 - So glad to hear! I did the same thing....I bring it out all of the time still!

Just thought I would add this - it is a course from the author about Approaching Motherhood and ways to use your time to really prepare for both pregnancy and motherhood:
