Hello I'm high risk, recurrent loss and possibly APS/Hughes (I'm seeing a specialist for that in 3 weeks to get an official diagnosis). My babies tend to grow, stop, start again and then pass. We have no genetic issues and have all been tested. I have one child, DS - I had bleeding throughout the 1st Tri, hemorrhaged in the 2nd and then had a horrific birth and recovery for myself - But he is absolutely perfectly healthy and doing well at nearly 2 years old now.
I'm only 4 weeks today EEK!
How are you doing? What's your story?

Diagnosed Jan 2016 as having been infertile due to scarring since last MMC. Diagnosed 2016 with Lupus.
My EDD is undetermined at this time but I have to be at least 7 weeks. My first appointment isn't until April 8, I'll have a better idea then. I'm a repeat high risk mom. This is my 6th pregnancy. I had an unexplained loss at 15 weeks with my first. I have 4 children currently. In those pregnancies I had Cholestasis of Pregnancy. It occurs for me once I'm in the third trimester. I had to be induced early with each to avoid risking stillbirth. With my third baby (4th pregnancy) I had the added joy of a velamentous cord insertion and was at risk for vasa previa. The vasa previa resolved itself and I was able to have a vaginal birth. There was also the possibility in that pregnancy that I had been carrying twins but lost one. Insurance would not cover any other ultrasounds other than the 20 weeks one so my DH and I decided to wait for confirmation then. There were a lot of indicators otherwise and my doctor was cautiously convinced. My kiddos are 3 boys (4, 3, 2) and 1 girl (7 months). They provide me with much joy and frustration.
This is pregnancy two for us (loss in December for unknown reasons), and we are apparently expecting twins! There is currently a large SCH next to Baby B that we are monitoring so I am on pelvic rest and modified bed rest. Prior to conception of our first, my MD noted a large nodule on my thyroid which put the brakes on our TTC plans While I had multiple ultrasounds, a biopsy and finally a total thyroidectomy (no cancer, yay me!). So we are watching my thyroid levels like a hawk this time around (every 2 weeks) as well as my ionized calcium since I have hypoparathyroidism induced by the surgery. So the "high risk" designation hasn't been made 100% official, but I think I fit!
Eta: EDD is Nov 4, but I'm sure we'll be in October since it's twins!
I have two living children, ages 9 and 5, for which I am incredibly grateful, and I've had eight first trimester losses which we now know mostly to be due to Asherman's Syndrome (AS.) The AS is likely a result of the failure of my midwives with my first delivery. It's a long story.
I had placental issues and excessive bleeding with both deliveries and because of the AS I have a risk around 10% of having abnormal placentation again.
This is time to manage risk I'm going to be requesting a caesarean despite two prior (quick) vaginal births. I'm going to be transferred from my RE to a high risk OB at my medical school sometime in the next few weeks.

Son, K, 9 | Daughter, C, 5 | Daughter, M, expected November 7, 2016
I'll be considered a high risk pregnancy after the loss of my son at 37 weeks in September. We did every test that was available to determine cause and only got a partial answer. The placenta started detaching prematurely but the cause of that is unknown.
I'm still partially in the dark about what the monitoring will look like this pregnancy. I've had an initial appointment with a nurse practitioner but won't meet with my doctor until April 4th. I do know that I'll be getting frequent ultrasounds once I hit 20 weeks and will also have the option of inducing at 39 weeks. Having a definitive date for this little one comforts me some. I'll be an October mama technically with the induction.
I haven't gotten an ultrasound of this little one yet which just adds to the anxiety. However, thanks to my own stupidity of going to a country with Zika when I conceived I'll be getting an ultrasound earlier then expected.
I never imagined I'd find myself here but I'm greatful for all you supportive ladies. I'm trying just to take it one day at a time which has been my normal since September.
I'll be high risk again this pregnancy. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I went into preterm labor at 24 weeks and again at 25 weeks. My official diagnoses were irritable uterus and incompetent cervix. I was on bed rest for 12 weeks, and took daily progesterone. Thankfully, I was able to carry her until full term.
This time around, my OB expects that because I have needed a D&E for a loss since my pregnancy with my daughter, my cervix will be even weaker this pregnancy. He is recommending a cerclage between 12-14 weeks, and weekly progesterone injections beginning around 16 weeks.
I'm very nervous, but also very excited, and happy to be here with you all!

Hello lovelies, I have had 4 losses, 2 before my daughter (almost 2 yrs old) and 2 after. Ultrasound on Monday showed baby is a week behind, and I thought for sure it was over but LO and behold it still had a heartbeat today. So I'll be having weekly scans I'm sure until hopefully things get back on track. I'm also being monitored and will have a cerclage placed due to incompetent cervix from the ridiculous delivery of my daughter. I have everything crossed that this little bean keeps growing!

I'm not sure if I'm high risk exactly, but I will have extra monitoring. My first (living child) was a preemie (33+6) due to pprom. My second pregnancy the baby had anencephaly and we terminated at 12 weeks. So this time I'll have cervix checks and extra ultrasounds to check for neural tube defects. My first appointment is on April 1st. My three betas looked good.
I had Cholestasis with both previous pregnancies! I absolutely hate the symptoms of itching my skin bleeding and raw.. but it I can't lie it was kind of nice having weekly appointments and ultrasounds to check on baby. I had to deliver weeks early for both due to stillbirth from the cholestasis. Mine came 3rd trimester for 1st baby and way early in the 2nd pregnancy. I ended up getting it at the start of the 2nd trimester which they said is unusual! So now with this one my 3rd I already know I'll get it again.
Hi ladies. This is my third pregnancy. The first was lost for unknown reasons at the end of the first trimester. My body had been threatening miscarriage and I had been on bed rest for two months at that point, so we knew things weren't going well even though the sonograms looked good and HcG was on track. My second pregnancy I had cholestasis and gestational diabetes and my son had to be delivered early due to my bile acid numbers skyrocketing. He's healthy and great. He's almost 15 months old now. I'm pregnant again, but so far it's been shaky. Bleeding and cramps. I've been on pelvic rest for about 4 days and that's improved things. We just have to wait and see. I hope everyone is feeling good and taking care of themselves.
I think I go here too. I've had three losses. The middle one was the concerning one. I had low fluid levels at my 12 week ultrasound and then pprom at 16 weeks followed by a D&E.
Because it was so early, I'll likely have a cerclage consult around 8-10 weeks and a cerclage early on (like, 10-12 weeks I think they said.)
I'm not exactly sure the details yet, so im not sure how much extra monitoring and stuff I need or if it's just the procedure and then normal monitoring.
Hello ladies, I had Cholestasis with my son (now 2 years old) and delivered a happy healthy baby after being induced at 37 weeks. It was pretty awful I am hoping and praying it will not happen this time but I will just have to wait and see. Thinking positive thoughts for us all!
