PCS orders pulled?

We've been at our current base for 5 1/2 years. My DH finally got special duty orders as an Instructor. Can they randomly cancel his orders? Do they have to have  reason for canceling PCS orders? Just curious if this has happened to anyone before. It hasn't happened to us but Im cautiously optimistic about leaving here.

They can do anything at anytime. Semper Gumby, as my husband says. Try not to worry about it unless it becomes a reality.
