Cost of Viagra Suppositories

My doctor has prescribed me Viagra suppositories to treat a thin uterine lining. I just heard back from the retail pharmacy and it is $4,500! Does anyone have any experience with this medication and know if fertility pharmacies carry it? I have left messages for a few specialty pharmacies. I thought while I was waiting, I would check to see if anyone has any advice.

I was prescribed 90 pills. My insurance won't cover Viagra for women (they said for men, they only cover 6 pills every 30 days).

I thought I was done with all of the expensive medications so this caught me off guard! I tried searching old threads for this, but couldn't find any current info.

I don't have any experience with the drug itself, but I worked as a patient advocate in the past and learned it's always a good idea to check with the manufacturer. 
I found this online & I believe you would be considered "underinsured" since you have insurance but that they don't cover it. The income limitations for assistance vary from company to company, but they tend to be on the higher side so that more people can qualify. Also, ask your doctor's office if they have a Pfizer rep who might be able to contact the assistance department as well.

In case anyone out there comes across this, I wanted to update. You can get compounded Viagra at specialty pharmacies for much less than the normal Viagra pills. It's about $10/pill vs $50.
