Is this my first period after D&C?

Last month on 1/5 I started to miscarry and on 1/8 I had a D&C done. I bled for about a week and a half and then went back to normal routine. I had my 2 week appointment after the D&C on 1/25 and was told everything looks good and I will probably get my period in about four weeks. I had sex 1/23 and 1/24 no problems but on 1/29 I had sex and then after was in so much pain we almost went to the ER. The next day I started to bleed and thought it could have just been my period starting early. Also as of yesterday 2/2 my hCG levels were still above 5 they were at 7 and the week before 13. They want me to go one more time next week to see what my levels are before they can confirm this is my period.

Has this happened to anyone else? Do we think this is my period or maybe another miscarriage from having sex on the 23rd or 24th or even left over birth matter from D&C?

    What does your ob said? Have they done a scan? 

    I had bleeding after my d&c, it was retained tissue. But it didn't appear to be a period. It was a TON of blood
