TTC, 37yo, myomectomy and both normal test results

Hi All,

Im back to these boards after a little absence. I had a myomectomy to remove four fibroids last march 2015. I went to the doctor in September and they mentioned my fibroids had returned and were the size of peas. Luckily for me they are quite small in comparison to the previous which were like 14cm 8, 6 and 4cm. I had my hubby test January 2016 for a SA and I also had a hormone panel done in November 2015. All our tests came back normal for fertility and my OBGYN doesn't think fibroids that returned are a big deal. I guess my question is at what point do we go to fertility specialist??? Im 37yo and never been pregnant. My hubby has a son from a previous relationship. Im hopeful that we can do things naturally.

Any suggestions or stories are greatly appreciated happy Sunday everyone!

Welcome! I think the general rule of thumb is to go see a specialist after 6 months of trying when you are over 35. Talk to your OB though. She may need to give a referral and will be more likely to do so if you communicate with her early on. Some Dr's want to see 3 failed pregnancies before they will run extra tests but being of AMA will help speed that along. My Dr. gave me a referral to an RE after 2 MC's and a CP.
