QOTW: What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Do you travel or stay local? Any Thanksgiving traditions you have in your family?

Good morning! 12 weeks today! No appointments until next week.

QOTW: Our plans for Thanksgiving are to go spend time and eat with my family, then we will come back over where we live and spend time with DH's family. We usually stay local. We had a tradition of having steamed shrimp on Thanksgiving. I can't remember if we did that or not last year. I'm not sure if we will do that this year or not. Maybe I should go out and buy some shrimp!

I went in today for my first ultrasound at 6w1d and all that we saw was the yolk sac. The doc said he would have expected to see something by now and mentioned the possibility of a blighted ovum. Pretty devastating. We are going to go back on Friday to see if there has been any growth. It's not like I am off on my dates as I know how old the embryo was and when we transferred. I keep waffling back and forth between feeling like all hope is lost and convincing myself that somehow there could still be hope. 

QOTW: Honestly, we have no plans. We were going to be traveling all over Europe but now we are in this wait and see mode.

11w 2d No appointment until NT scan a week from today. I'm feeling anxious and just want to see this little bean again and know everything is okay.

QOTW: Thanksgiving is my Birthday and we will be traveling to see DHs family in Illinois for the week. My sis lives in Chicago (3 hours from his family) so we will likely spend the weekend up there with her after Thanksgiving but before we fly home.

@susykat77 it's possible that the development is just slow. Hang in there till Friday and try to keep that positive side. Fx for you!

I have my first apt with my regular OB today. Not sure what to expect but don't imagine I'll have an ultrasound. I've been struggling with a cold and morning sickness so I'm pretty beat.

Qotw: we are traveling by car up to ct to visit friends on thurs then up to MA to see our folks Friday. Should be nice and hopefully I won't mind the long car trips!

@NB817 Our NT scans are the same day! We sure have a lot in common.. similar due dates, close birthdays, and now the NT scans. haha I can't wait for mine!

@susykat77 It is kinda early, it's possible that it was just too early to see anything. My RE didn't have me go in for a US until I was almost 7 weeks. Sending positive thoughts your way!

Sorry, I've been working nights for a while and just too exhausted to do much other than sleep when I get home. We had our NT scan at 12 weeks last wednesday and it was really rough because it was the NT scan when we learned of our first son's problems. This little bean was not cooperative but the doctor that we saw was the same doctor that we saw several times last pregnancy and we really liked. So it took about 90minutes but we finally got the NT measurements. We go back to the OB next week. We also scheduled our anatomy scan for Dec 23rd so it will be nice to have that worry (hopefully) goe for christmas. For symptoms I am definitely less tired but not throwing up any less so far. @susykat77 my RE also waits until closer to 7 weeks, I had an ultrasound at 6 and 0 and couldn't see anything other than the yolk sac, so maybe? We go to my parents for thanksgiving. Our traditions are pretty stereotyped, turkey and mashed potatoes and stuffing

@kistra I hope all results come back fantastic from the NT scan! You find out the gender two days after me.

I recently did 3 hour glucose testing since my PCP detected urine in glucose and high glucose level in one hour testing. Luckily the results came back normal so at this point I don't have gestational diabetes
I am currently 9w4d and My first OB appointment is on 19th. I can't wait to see my little bean again and I hope everything is going well in there.

We don't have any big plans for thanksgiving. It will just be gathering of friends and family.

LOL just notice that I typed "my PCP detected Urine in Glucose" . It's Glucose in Urine my Pregnancy brain !!

@kistra GL and keep us updated! I have my NT in about 3 wks and a maternty21 test in 2wks. I'm trying not to be nervous about the outcome.

Today I had my follow-up ultrasound and we saw a fetal pole and heart beat!!! Babe is measuring 6+1 and I am 6+5 today so a little behind but after all the research I have done, dating in the beginning is a bit tricky. The doc did mention that my yolk sac was slightly large so we are not out of the woods yet but that seeing the heartbeat is a really wonderful sign. I am so thrilled and so excited that there is a tiny fluttering heartbeat inside of me! I don't know what the heartbeat rate was as the machine he used today only picked up every second or third beat. Either way, we saw it flickering away!!

@AdorkablePixie  We go back in a little over 2 weeks on Nov 30. I'll be 9+1. My goal is to not stress between now and then and to celebrate my pregnancy every day!! Easier said than done ;-)

Great news @susykat77 I know it's hard but try not to stress too much. Hope in your next appointment they will determine you are completely out of woods. All the best.

Hi Ladies!! How did I miss this?! I just found this board- I was active with you all in "infertility" board. But once I got my BFP (after HSG, injectable meds and IUI #1) I didn't know where everyone went... I just went to BMB but I recognize much for of these member names! I'm so happy to be here and glad to see you all are doing so well. Anyways... HELLO!!

Tell us about any appointments you have this week, how far along you are and how you are feeling!

I'm 9 weeks 2 days! (EDD June 17th) go to my next appointment on Monday! I feel great over all! I would say I feel the worst in the evening of nauseous and weak with NO energy! So I just go to bed, sleeping it off seems to be the best solution. But I'll take any and all symptoms because it's a wonderful thing happening in there!

To be honest the thought of all the Thanksgiving food makes me sick just thinking about it... So I might just be eating my yogurt and applesauce that day! Lol But it will be nice to visit with family that I hardly see, we will be traveling but barely only 1.5 hour south, nothing major. As far as traditions eating, watching football, playing cards, taking a nap! The usual! Hope you all have a happy Saturday!
