Currently benched until January...have my first appointment with a RE next month, anxiously awaiting that!

Question of the Week: I tend to be more attracted to those more on the sensible side, like my DH! :)

I am down to the second half of my TWW after my 10/31 IUI.  Beta scheduled for Friday, I am hoping I make it to that (rather than AF coming early, which is what happened last cycle).  Trying not to symptom spot.  This will be a busy week at work, so hopefully it will go quickly.

QOTW: I think sensible.  My DH is sensible with just the right amount of imaginative to be inspired but not unrealistic.
    About me:

Last IUI didn't work so now waiting on RE appt Thursday to see where to go.  I had my first acupuncture appt Saturday and it went better than I expected.

QOTW: I'm more attracted to sensible people

I am in the middle of a series of appointments: my GI doctor is running tests and doing a repeat endoscopy to see if I have healed since going gluten free 5+ years ago (I have Celiac Disease, an autoimmune disorder that causes intestinal damage), I am going to acupuncture once/week and our infertility consult is in early December. So glad to finally have the ball rolling on finding out what has been going on. In the meantime I think I'm in my TWW (waiting for temps to confirm) of this cycle. This month marks 18 months TTC.

Gtky: more imaginative. I am very sensible and DH is a dreamer. Sometimes it causes conflict between us but for the most part we balance each other out nicely!
    me 30; DH 35
    TTC since May 2014.
Aug 2014 BFP, EDD April 22, 2015. Low progesterone, started suppositories. Loss at 5w6d.
    Nov 19, 2015 BFP at 13 dpo, EDD July 29, 2016. MMC discovered 12/29 (9+4). Natural miscarriage 1/16 (12+1).
AMH results 0.42, 1.2; FSH 12.1, AFC 10, dx DOR.
RPL testing results normal. Nurse recommended progesterone suppositories in TWW.
Clomid + trigger + TI cycle August 2016 - failed. Thin lining.
Femara + trigger + TI cycle December 2016 - failed. Thin lining.
    Short LP (8 days).
Acupuncture & Chinese herbs starting January 2017, lengthened LP to 10 days

I'm still waiting for CD1 so I can go in for baseline ultrasound. I'm SO ready to get this IUI process started. I'm expecting CD1 to be Friday so I'll be going in on either Friday or Monday (my RE doesnt do baselines on the weekend). Then I'll be starting follistim injections on either Monday or Tuesday next week. FX that IUI works for us!

QOTW: I'm extremely imaginative so I am more compatible with the sensible type :)

    ETA the QOTW.

I'm CD4. It's *finally* the week for my RE appointment. These have been the longest 8 weeks of my life! I'm starting to get really nervous - I just don't want to leave my appointment feeling disappointed about anything or having to wait forever for something to be done. I've had a really rough few weeks lately (trouble sleeping, being really anxious, prone to crying, not enjoying things I usually do) so I've also decided to start seeing a professional counsellor. I think everything that's happened this year combined with the days being dark and cold now and my DH traveling so much that I have just sort of hit a wall and need some help climbing over it.

I am going to cheat and say both lol I am attracted to sensible but can still be silly.

I am currently on CD16 and waiting O (HOPEFULLY!!).  I've had symptoms but had a CD14 u/s and the tech and nurse said the largest follicle was only 11mm, so no trigger.  I just didn't know if I could still O late, since they kind of go off at 28 day cycle and I have been 35 since on Clomid.  It was just a really frustrating weekend, so I am trying not to get my hopes up.  I've had positive OPK's and my temp dropped this morning, so I guess we'll see....  I don't see my RE until CD28, but I want a new game plan.  I think if I hadn't had a loss, I wouldn't be as anxious each month.

Yay @ceclarlinetlo!  It'll feel good to go and get some answers...I was nervous too, but you will feel like a weight is lifted when there is some form a light at the end of this IF tunnel.  I've had a rough few weeks too, which I am not used to!  The crazy emotional mood swings, WHOA.  I seriously feel crazy sometimes.  I have seen a counselor/therapist a few times and it has been AMAZINGLY helpful.

QOTW:  Sensible, for sure!  I am a 'realist' and enjoy a good day dream, but I like to live in reality :)

Nothing new for me this week. Just taking these birth control pills and feeling like that is the opposite of what I want to be doing haha!

Question of the Week:  Are you more attracted to a) imaginative people or b) sensible people?

I'm not sure. I'd say my husband is pretty imaginative, and I do like him. Maybe a combination of both (imaginative + sensible = innovative?).

Good luck everyone at your appointments!

I'm on CD8 and have stimmed for 5 days so far with Gonal-F (3 days @ 100iu and 2 days @ 50iu). This round of injects is going much better than the last and more like my first round. Woohoo!! Saturday, I had two 14s and one 11. This morning, I had one 15.5, one 15, two 14s, two 13s and a few 12s and lower. My lining was 8.2. My guess is I'll be triggering Wednesday, but we'll see. I'm currently waiting on a call from my nurse to see about this afternoon's dose and whether I start Ganirelix today (I'm not the biggest fan of that shot!). I think I'll also ask for my estradiol number just because I'm curious and haven't yet been informed of those numbers during this process.

QOTW: Definitely a combination of both! I'd say probably 60% imaginative and 40% sensible would be about right.

I'm thinking about all of you!! Good luck in whatever stage you are in.

Good for you for reaching out for help and getting counseling. I'm a therapist myself, but I also recently did the same thing and started getting my own therapy to work through the struggles I am having. It is a stronger person who seeks the help they need than those who don't.

Last cycle ended in a bfn and DH's SA came back good numbers except 2% morph. At the advice of my re we are putting him on fertilaid and waiting for a few months to retest and then trying IUI, along with femara, gonal-f, and trigger shot. It's hard to wait so I might cave and decide to do iui before supplements kick in, we will see how the wait goes.

QOTW: I'd say I generally prefer sensible BUT get bored with it sometimes and enjoy a little dose of "imaginative" now and then!

Hello ladies. I am back after getting a BFN in early July with our first round of IVF. I needed some time mentally and since I am a teacher I wanted to enjoy the remainder of my summer too. I am labeled with having DOR. I have been doing acupuncture once a week since April and absolutely love it. We are beginning our second round of IVF and our Doctor hopes that the first round and only getting 1 egg was a fluke. I have been trying to get healthy and am back into running. I just completed the Chicago Hot Chocolate 5k yesterday. Right now I am taking the pill and this round they have me on testosterone patches. Anyone else do this?

QOTW: I would say sensible, since I feel that I'm an imaginative person. That was a good question.

    Hi Ladies,

I'm new to the weekly check-in (insert waving smiley face here that seems to have been taken away from us today)!

    1.  How long have you been TTC?  On month 6, cycle 3

    2.  What is your diagnosis? PCOS

    3.  What is your current treatment plan? Going in for blood work tomorrow morning to see if my liver checks out and then starting Metformin if all looks good.  According to FF I'm 10 DPO (CD 92) and I'm keeping my FX that it's the real deal so that I don't have to utilize the Provera.  We didn't have sex during my FW, so AF needs to come one way or another.  Nutritionist appt on 11/17.  Referral submitted for DH to complete a SA.

QOTW: Sensible.  I'm  married to an engineer if that's saying anything.  :)

    Hello ladies!
I am waiting on AF for our first month of clomid. Doctor said after hsg to try until Nov 30 naturally. On 30th take a test if AF had not arrived by theN (CD45) then we will go from there but start clomid next month.

In a relationship...definitely more sensible. My husband keeps me grounded. In a friendship, all the imagination I can get.

Hi ladies! I had my hysteroscopy on saturday. I was really scared and expected it to hurt a lot and anesthesia was available but really expensive so I went without. To my surprise it wasn't that bad, my HSG was waaaay worse. Dr said everything looks normal, some polyps and some scarring from the c-section scar but nothing that would cause infertility. Have an appointment on Sat, have to finish the bcp pack, get AF, and then we are doing 3 Femara cycles. Not sure if we will do with trigger or not. Clomid was really bad on me, gave me cyst and gave me a 40+ days cycle, so that's why we will do femara now. So I am waiting to get instructions on next step.

Currently prepping for IUI #3. RE increased my clomid to 100mg CD 2-6 this time in hopes of producing more than one follicle. Today is CD 6 and I don't go in until CD 16 for BW and US. A bit nervous about going in so late, but the past two cycles I've ovulated on the later side so I guess that's why.

    QOTW: Definately more sensible ones!

Hi everybody! This week is going ok. I'm cd24 and 9 dpo. My temp spiked this morning and I think I have a low grade fever which is going to mess my temps up! Really hoping I don't get sick because I have 2 photo shoots and a birthday dinner coming up. I needz da energy! Other than that just project planning-trying to distract myself from TWW as much as possible. QOTW: definitely imaginative. My husband is a dreamer and always looks outside the box. One of the things I love most about him. I hope everyone has s great week and is successful in getting a BFP!

Well AF started yesterday which I was expecting because I took a hpt and it was negative on Sunday. Lately I've been around a lot of pregnant women or women with babies and it's getting harder and harder. I keep trying to tell myself that I'm 1 step closer to having one of my own. I will start 100mg clomid tomorrow. I am working on getting healthier which has kind of not been on the top of priority list and I am committing to doing better.
QOTW: I would have to say imaginative people.

CD11 and sick with an upper respiratory infection. Needless to say no point in temping with a fever. I'm keeping DH away to not infect him so this month will be a bust. At least I took this month off from meds so it's not a waste of money and extra stress.
I hope everyone is doing great and fx for a ton of bfps for everyone.

CD 11, HSG went great. No blockages. Now just hanging out until next cycle. I'm temping but I don't ovulate (or at least am pretty sure I don't.) so I'm just waiting to see what my next move is. DH is going for a semen analysis this week, but I don't expect anything to really come from that. We shall see.

Hi ladies, AF arrived, CD 3 & starting my first cycle of Clomid 50mg days 5-9 but just got some bad news regarding friend who's very ill...wondering if this is the best month to start the Clomid.

Hi everyone! I am on Day 15 after the Clomid. I haven't tested the last three days because of an upper respiratory infection and tested this morning. I got a postive opk on the clearblue test but a negative on the Wondfo strips but I'm going to take it as a positive and call the dr when they open. Next step was if I'm not pregnant by December, its off to an RE. Originally if it was not ovulating but the Clomid worked this first month. I am on the ZPack for antibotics on top of my inhaler and cough syrup. Checked up and the ZPack can be used when needed during pregnancy so it shouldn't mess up our chances TTC this month. I think I am more attracted a mix of both as I am a preschool inlcusion teacher and I think I am personally a mixture of both. Hope everyone else is doing well and gets their BFP's very soon!! *edited for spelling error

I had my RE appointment today and I really like him a lot. He agreed that my septum needs to come out. He also said that I definitely do not ovulate effectively and he is pretty sure that it is because I have PCOS. Because my OB office didn't send any pictures of my saline infused sonogram He had them do an ultrasound today and they confirmed I do have a septum and it goes down pretty far. They also looked at my ovaries and they had a classic "pearls on a string" appearance with 55 follicles between the two and one was long and skinny which she told me is a common thing in PCOS. He told me to limit my carbs, take regular walks and to take a supplement called myo inositol that is supposed to help with insulin resistance.

As far as surgery they are still working on scheduling it. I was really hoping that I could have it done before the end of the year but unfortunately, it's a busy time for surgery with everyone wanting to do things before their deductibles reset so I won't be surprised if I get pushed into January. Because we can't predict my periods he will either induce me to have one or give me birth control when my next cycle starts to keep me regular until the surgery and they'll tell me which he decided once they have the surgery scheduled. I'm supposed to call back if I don't hear anything by Monday. After the surgery they'll want me to wait a cycle to have an ultrasound to make sure they got the entire septum and then we will be free to try again.

I am still feeling anxious to just know when the surgery is going to be, but I am feeling a better than I was before the appointment. I think I am in good hands.

Thanks everyone for your support while I've been waiting!

@goldenkeys can you update my info in the roll call?

Drove2u Is this your first letrazole cycle? Have you done clomid before? If not, why did they chose letrazole with you? I am starting it this cycle and I'm wondering if you've done it before you would have any advice. :)

@lily55d I took clomid two cycles and responded too well to it in that my doc was very afraid of multiples. Well the first time it didn't work at all and second time I wound up with an ectopic. I responded better with less clomid the second time around too. He didn't understand how. Lol. So I guess he's hoping I will just respond normally with letrazole. I had 5 mature follies the last time.

@lablover78 I'm sorry to hear about your friend.  I hope clarity comes soon about whether or not right now is the right time for you to start the Clomid.  Keeping you and your friend in my thoughts.

Hi Ladies- little late to the check in this week.  Had a bit of a rough one.

Went in for lap surgery yesterday and found out I had stage 2 Endo and my right tube is now completely clogged.  Chances of natural pregnancy or successful IUI is slim to none.  I will be starting the process of IVF probably within the next month or two.  It's not going to be cheap, so just need to financially prepare.  Just trying to mentally take all this in, but at least I have some answers.

Question of the Week:  Are you more attracted to a) imaginative people or b) sensible people?
Probably B, but sometimes envious of A.

    Married: 8/29/2009
TTC- since we got married (off and on)
TTC with focus: Since July 2015
Currently had 2 rounds of failed IUIs, failed TI monitored cycle
December 2015: Starting 1st IVF cycle
    January 2016: Retrieval
March 2016: Pending Transfer (I have 3 PGS tested embryos waiting for a womb)
April 2016: BFP, the old fashioned way.

@babyexpress that's a lot to take in. I'm sorry you have to start IVF but like you said it's nice to have an answer to the problem - now you can start working towards a solution. I hope you have a quick recovery from the surgery.

I can't remember who, but Someone posted once before about clinical trials that can help cover the costs of IVF or some places have government grants - maybe you could find something to help cover your costs?
