He is 8.11 at 4 weeks, which is the 24th percentile, he was born at 7.6 and my pediatrician said by one month they want them to have gained a pound and a half to two pounds. He was on the low end of that.
I have never heard the 1.5-2lb by one month. #1 went from 7.8 to 8.5 #2 went from 7.13 to 8.8 #3 went from 7.13 to 10.3 Pedi was fine each each baby's rate of weight gain

If he's in the spectrum that your pedi suggested then I wouldn't worry. Personally, I haven't heard of 1.5-2 lbs by 4 weeks but I'm not a pediatrician.
My LO was born at 8lb, 6oz and at 4.5 weeks was at 9lb even. We tried to breastfeed but I had supply issues, he was very dehydrated early on as a result. He's now 7 months and is perfectly healthy.
My pediatrician told me that they like to see a 1.5-2lb weight gain within the first month. My son gained that but she was still a little concerned as he is on the small side. 6lbs when we brought him home and 7.8 at 4 wk check-up. Dr was happy happy overall with weight gain just concerned bc he is in small.
