My parents are constantly telling me that I don't do enough to teach my little Monster his numbers, letters, shapes, colors, etc. Every day his daddy, him and myself sit down and practice all of those things. Monster is always saying new words I didn't even know he knew. He is always pointing out new things he has learned.
So, I guess my questions is this:
How do I get my parents to understand that my Monster really is smart? That we really are good parents? Does anyone else go through this with their parents/family? Any words of advice or encouragement?
My only advice is to ignore them! I don't sit there and teach my little one words or body parts, Etc she sort of just picks things up through observing and play. Sounds like you guys are doing a fine job.
