i have heard different things about getting your hair high lighted while pregnant. My hair dresser swears it's safe but I've also heard otherwise. My roots are terrible . What do you think?

My doctor said to hold out for the first trimester, but that it was generally okay.

My doctor is fine after first trimester. With DS I had my hair done every 8 weeks. Highlights, lowlights and base. It felt great and I have a very healthy and happy 2 yr old. I will be getting my hair done at 14 weeks which is 4 weeks away and I am struggling! Being a blonde who is naturally a dark brunette is not easy!

I'm going at 13 weeks, but I would have gone sooner if I needed to.

My hair was in desperate need of highlights, so I had them in the first trimester. But, I made sure the stylist didn't slather the stuff on my scalp.
