4 weeks 6 days- light spotting- whats normal?

Hey all, 

I'm new here, this is me and my husbands first pregnancy and are keeping it a secret from our family till we reach the 10- 12 week mark. We just found out we were pregnant and a few days ago,  I experienced some cramping like I was going to start my period and some light spotting that lasted for an hour or so. I called my doctor and she is doing some tests to figure out whats going on. Has anyone else had light spotting during week 4 of their pregnancy and made it full term? I'm really anxious to find out the results, wont find out for 3 more days.

I am 4w0d and have been having light spotting on and off since my missed period 4 days ago. I am hoping this doesn't mean I have low progesterone? Mine has been reddish-brown twice, and brown all the other times. Mostly brown discharge. It has me worried, but I also know as long as it's not bright red and heavy it's normal.
