It is really crazy how different the protocols are from dr to dr. My dr is currently doing a study on the different types of progesterone to prove that one is not better than the other (well suppositories vs shots)
The crazy thing is for my IUI's and then my IVF (when they put me on suppositories in case we needed to transfer because our blast wasn't good enough to freeze) I have been on 3 different ones. Crinone, prometrium and endometrin. The crinone was with my first dr in my current practice..the others are with my current dr..hwen I asked about the different ones he said that he hates crinone and won't use it..not sure why though.
Crinone is white. Also I'm taking estrace too two times a day. My dr tries the mess meds approach if need be.

Happy Valentine's Day ladies! Soooo I probably shouldn't have but I did. Only because it's Valentine's Day and it would have been a great day to share with DH. I took a test, which I still have till Wednesday so I did way too early and it was negative. Ugh I don't know what to think but I now know why they say to wait. Learn from me, wait till the day lol. I guess I'll know for sure in three days. But I'm slightly disencouraged now.

I am hoping that you are just too early @LSatturo126 Waiting is so hard so I get why you tested but they make you wait until a certain for a reason so don't lose hope yet. @wenikilina thats great that you got so many viable embryos..two in there hopefully getting all cozy and 3 backups...that's amazing..i'm jealous!!!

@rachlee2010 I am not too familiar with frozen transfers. So I don't know how early they thaw the embryos. But I am excited for yours!! @LSatturo126 I was just thinking.. What kind of test did you use? I've heard the strips off the internet can detect pregnancy earlier. Although I'm not sure how true that might be. Sending positive thoughts your way!

@rachlee2010 they thaw the embryo about 45 mins before the transfer. Every clinic does different. It really doesn't take that long to thaw honestly. The main thing is just making sure your bladder is full. They wheel u back and clean ur cervix and then locate ur uterus using thw ultrasound and then embryologist brings your embaby in and then RE releases it into their new home. Embryologist will then go back and check to make sure the embryo was successfully released from the tube and then they will wheel u back to recovery with discharge instructions. Before hand they may give u something to keep u from cramping.

@wenikilina cramping can be a good sign or a bad one I believe..ti's totally normal in pregnancy or could be from the progesterone too I think. I hope it's a good sign for you!
@wenikilina I had it from thurs-sun. 1dp-4dp. I don't know about today bc I'm still laying in bed lol. Mine felt like my usual menstrual cramps. I'm having an array of symptoms, but I'm sure it's from the trigger shot.

@wenikilina I had mine the day of transfer. So its been 5 days) Which is odd, because almost NOONE on the Internet gets one that day. I know it's different bc I did a fresh with "donor eggs"... but still, I only found a handful who had it the day of. Which is totally freaking me out that our RE messed this up!

@rachlee2010 yeah, you are right. When I asked, he said the dose of hcg will boost my natural progesterone, so I start making it at increased levels naturally. I tried to question and he had a "logical" response, or so I thought. I've just spent the last 5 days thinking it was wrong and this isn't going to work now.

rachlee2010 yes, they thaw it a early just in case there are any issues, they have enough time to thaw a second one if necessary. They can tell right away if there is something wrong because the embryo will usually continue to grow right away as soon as they thaw it.

OK ladies. I emailed my nurse bc I couldn't handle the stress of this trigger shot any more. She said I got a micro dose of 2000 to help with implantation/progesterone, not the full 10,000 trigger shot. And it should be out of my system any day! Whew!

@rachlee2010 if it makes you feel better, I had the same worry. My embryologist reassured me that out of the thousands of embryos she had thawed only one didn't survive and testing later revealed an abnormality with the egg. The process they use to thaw is much more effective and has a way less chance of damage to the embryo.

So I'm having really bad cramps in the stomach and back. Pretty sure I getting my period. Took a test this morning and still negative. If TWABB got a positive two days before and mines tomorrow and still negative I'm pretty sure mine didn't survive. Very sad but it is what it is.

My doctor finally called yesterday with an update. They were able to freeze four of our embryos! Wow. That is better than I had imagined.

Happy Valentine's Day ladies! Soooo I probably shouldn't have but I did. Only because it's Valentine's Day and it would have been a great day to share with DH. I took a test, which I still have till Wednesday so I did way too early and it was negative. Ugh I don't know what to think but I now know why they say to wait. Learn from me, wait till the day lol. I guess I'll know for sure in three days. But I'm slightly disencouraged now.

Waiting is so hard so I get why you tested but they make you wait until a certain for a reason so don't lose hope yet.

@LSatturo126 I was just thinking.. What kind of test did you use? I've heard the strips off the internet can detect pregnancy earlier. Although I'm not sure how true that might be. Sending positive thoughts your way!

Is anyone having any cramping? I've been having what has felt like AF cramps the last two days and today it is definitely worse. Now I think the cramping is actually up higher than usual. But I don't want to imagine anything! Anyone else?!

@wenikilina cramping can be a good sign or a bad one I believe..ti's totally normal in pregnancy or could be from the progesterone too I think. I hope it's a good sign for you!

IVF#3 retrieval 4/23/16- 0 healthy embryos. IVF#4 retrieval 6/17/16- 1 healthy embryo. FET#1-Transferred Both Healthy Embryos on 9/6/16 BFP!! 9/15/16 Beta 22.3, 9/17/16 Beta 60.5 & 9/19/16 Beta 195! 1st US on 9/23/16, only 1 Gast Sac & Yolk Sac found, US 9/30/16 US 6wk 1day saw and heard Heartbeat 120bpm!! EDD 5/25/2017 Had a healthy baby girl via CSection on 5/18/17 8lbs 15oz.
