I am now 3dpIUI and starting yesterday I have been having cramping on both sides and spotting/flow. I emailed my doctor this morning saying that I felt like I was starting my period, but it's slowed tonight. She did say that spotting/flow can happen sometimes after an IUI. Have any of you had this after your IUI?
@rachlee2010 Yay! IVF is coming up soon. I also got cysts on Clomid and prior to IVF I had a cyst. I was placed on BCP but at my baseline ultrasound, post BCP, I still had a cyst. My RE was not worried about it because my estrogen level was fine, meaning that it was just a functional cyst and not secreting estrogen, and she said the stimulation meds would make the cyst go down.

@ShayLatrice I'm a runner and I stopped my running prior to IVF (and in time for the cold weather, I guess). So it has been difficult for me to not be able to go out and go for a run! I was told that walking on flat ground would be fine. But I even slowed with the walking once my stimulation was on board. That being said, I knew I'd need to line up a lot of little projects for myself to have ready during this time. So I have several things to choose from - it just depends on what I feel like doing, if anything. I printed out pictures from our first year of marriage and have all of the supplies to work on scrapbooking, I bought some nice colored pencils and adult calming coloring books to color, I've been doing multiple puzzles, watching movies, meeting up with friends that are supportive and can (kind of) relate, and by the end of November I'd already put the Christmas tree and decorations up. Now I am already done with wrapping all Christmas gifts. HAHA! I've been doing a lot of cooking and baking, and I also try to listen to music or podcasts a lot more often so that my mind does not have too much time to wander. I am trying very hard to keep busy with calming and diversional activities. What are you planning on doing in your TWW?

Baking sounds like a good distraction. I said I was going to do some baking myself. Will probably start on Sunday. Been wanting to make my 7-Up cream cheese pound cake. Other than that, I'll probably catch up on some reading and build my meal plan/work out for the weeks after 2WW is over. Maybe a lil bit of retail theraphy to help pass the time.

@wenikilina yes I had an IUI Wednesday and I did have slight spotting by end of day. The catheter they put in might scratch your uterus a little. If it continues more than a day see the dr.
My IUI went ok but since last week I had the dye test on my ovary they found some blockage on my good ovary, left. So they sent info to insurance to skip the next three IUIs and just go straight to IVF. Crossing fingers!!!

So I just got some blood work back.... Had a glucose test done and it came back normal thank god! With this weight gain I thought I'd be border line diabetes lol but we are good. Sad news is my AMH levels went from 0.56 to 0.134. Ugh so disappointing. The nurse said not to worry though. It's just so devasting to think it's going lower. And my vitamin d is a bit low too.

2WW is going fairly well which is surprising. Today is 1 week since my FET and I'm really just focusing on not over thinking, over analyzing how I feel or don't feel. @LSatturo126 I have heard that a vitamin D deficiency sometimes artificially lowers your AMH..so maybe if your vit d is low your AMH is actually a little higher than it came up!
@rachlee2010 hope you're right I'll be taking more supplements for vitamin D. @ShayLatrice Insurance just got back to my dr today and.... THEY APPROVED!!! No more IUIs and we can start taking eggs next month through March. Hoping we will get enough eggs and fertilize to do genetic testing and then IVF. I'm super super excited! Hoping for good news for you on Monday! @wenikilina I'm actually the one who wanted to redo it. Thought maybe cuz I was so stressed with the move it made it low. Wishful thinking I guess.

@LSatturo126 that is great that you can move to IVF..We are starting IVF in January as well. Does your insurance cover all of it?? Ours covers the procedures which is great but not the meds so it will still cost us around $7000 give or take for the meds. I am so nervous of it not working. I hear of people without DOR getting between 10-20 eggs and by the end only having 1-3 viable eggs to put back in..If I only get 4-6 eggs to start will I have any that make it???

@rachlee2010 I don't know I mean I only make like three a month on my good ovary so your guess is good as mine. The insurance covers everything except for freezing and storing which will cost about $1500. The meds I've been stacking on most for the IUIs cuz there is just a copay. We shall see. I'll be keeping you posted about how that works. Did you talk to you RE about it?

@wenikilina just for the record it is my husbands new job from this past August that will pay. We waited two years cuz his last insurance didn't even cover blood work, let alone an ultrasound lol we wanted to wait till our two year anniversary and then we would have paid but luckily his new job came in August lol

I know I am lucky with my insurance because without it the $7000 we will pay in meds would be at least $17000 so even though it still is costly for the meds I know we are very lucky that everything else is only a $30 copay. We meet with our RE on the 28th to really discuss and map out our IVF cycle so hopefully we will be able to start as soon as possible in Jan with my next period

Hi ladies! I'm glad I found this thread. I have DOR as well and start IVF stims on Sunday. I have an antagonist protocol, but I'm so nervous about not producing enough eggs. I'm praying for the best. My RE is not really worried egg quality, but on my baseline visit 12/23 she was concerned about the amount of follicles I had because it was way less than my previous visit.
Welcome @TWWAB (although I hate that you find yourself here.) How many follicles did you have at your baseline? How old are you? I think age is the biggest determinate of egg quality. I am meeting my RE on monday to discuss our first IVF cycle hopefully starting in january. I don't usually have too many follicles..anywhere from 3-8 I think so I am really worried about spending money on IVF and only getting a few eggs, and then I know they won't all fertilize or grow as they should. I can't wait to hear what my dr has to say on monday.
@rachlee2010 I had 1 on the left and 4 on the right but they were all smaller than what would be expect on that cycle day. I'm 35 just turned 35 earlier this month. My concerns are the same me and DH have paid for 2 cycles out of pocket so I pray that this works. I see that you are from Philadelphia what clinic do you go to? I'm from philly too and we go to RMA Philadelphia!

Ladies finally got my schedule, doing all the meds etc and they will take out my first round of follicles or eggs whatever it is on February 1st. They should have started this week but there office is closed for the next three weeks for holidays and cleaning. So they are putting me on birth control to slow everything down. It's amazing how things can be changed from a pill. @ShayLatrice have you gone in yet for ultrasound? Or is it too soon? Lol

@LSatturo126 my FX are crossed that this cycle is the cycle that gets you your BFP. My ultrasound is scheduled for Jan 5th and I'm super nervous about it. My mind keeps telling me that I'm going to go in and something is going to be wrong. Just haven't had good juju with ultrasounds once a pregnancy is confirmed. I don't even think I'm going to look. I'll just be in there with my eyes closed....ugh.

@wenikilina yes I had an IUI Wednesday and I did have slight spotting by end of day. The catheter they put in might scratch your uterus a little. If it continues more than a day see the dr.
My IUI went ok but since last week I had the dye test on my ovary they found some blockage on my good ovary, left. So they sent info to insurance to skip the next three IUIs and just go straight to IVF. Crossing fingers!!!

@ShayLatrice Insurance just got back to my dr today and.... THEY APPROVED!!! No more IUIs and we can start taking eggs next month through March. Hoping we will get enough eggs and fertilize to do genetic testing and then IVF. I'm super super excited! Hoping for good news for you on Monday!

Ladies finally got my schedule, doing all the meds etc and they will take out my first round of follicles or eggs whatever it is on February 1st. They should have started this week but there office is closed for the next three weeks for holidays and cleaning. So they are putting me on birth control to slow everything down. It's amazing how things can be changed from a pill.
