Ouch!! Do you have any other pain besides just the nipples being sore? Just wondering since the blood can also be a sign of mastitis. I've had it twice and didn't experience bleeding either time, but it's definitely not something to mess around with. When I had cracked nipples, I used Motherlove Nipple Cream, and then I wore breast shields because they were way too sore rubbing against a bra.
A friend of mine was pumping blood. Are you also BFing? Your LO's latch might be off. She went to a lactation consultant because she was in so much pain and they told her to exclusively pump because her daughter's latch was so bad. I'd say to check in with a LC, they'll know about mastitis also.
