I am a 21 year old women who just experienced her first loss of MMC at 9 1/2 weeks pregnant and had a D and C. This is extremely devastating because DH and I were TTC for nearly 2 years. My doctor was unable to pinpoint why it took us so long to conceive and right before we got pregnant naturally he prescribed me Clomid to possibly kickstart the process. We were so excited because after so long we were able to conceive naturally without the medication. We are looking to get pregnant again ASAP. I guess I am looking for other people that took a long time to conceive and what their conception time looked like after their loss, or if your doctor put you on Clomid right after your loss (this may be something I would like to try) Any support is so appreciated.
I'm so sorry for your loss! It's never easy. My husband and I tried for years and finally conceived our son. He is 6 now. And we have been trying for baby #2 for 4.5 years now. I has miscarried 3 times. I'm seeing a RE now and on our 2nd round of letrozole (I was 18 shades of crazy lady on clomid only to find out that clomid was about the worst thing in the world for my estrogen dominant body). We are cautiously optimistic. To be honest, I would give your body one natural cycle before clomid. See if you jump started yourself with that pregnancy. My fingers are crossed for you!
Sorry for your loss It is so, so sad. It sounds like you are working with someone, which is good. Nobody really tells you that this all can happen and it is surprising when it does. Tests may be warranted in your future. There is also a drug, Femara/Letrozole, that does similar things as clomid and can have less side effects for people. Good luck and hope that the next steps are easy ones!
I'm so sorry for your loss. It took 1.5 years to conceive my first baby (and most of that was with an RE). We were finally successful with Femara. I would highly suggest Femara/Letrozole over Clomid. As PPs have said, it can give you awful side effects and Femara typically produces fewer and better quality eggs (so the risk of multiples is lower with Femara) with little to no side effects. I'm not sure if you are already seeing an RE or just an OB but I would definitely find an RE to pursue testing after 2 yrs TTC and a loss. And I think at least a one cycle break is recommended after a m/c. I hope you can get some answers and get back to TTC soon. Good luck!

I'm so sorry for your losses! I would deffinitely talk to your doctor about options and think about heading the RE way also. I had two miscarriages - one at 10 weeks and one at 6 weeks with a D&C. DH and I were obviously devastated as Im sure you are too. My RE put me on Clomid for two months and I had some great response with it. Follicles were producing well I just didn't get pregnant on it even with an Ovidrel trigger shot to like you jump start everything. So my husband and I are taking a financial break from them. Probably going to go back though since my break month looks like its not going to get me pregnant either. I dont know what the next step is for us but going to an RE and hashing out some of the things that may have been wrong, doing testing, and talking to someone who is a specialist in this area really helped me to understand some of what may be wrong At least there was a plan for a couple months.
It took is 1 year to conceive my first baby. After that 1 year ttc. Had a mc at 6 weeks... Took another 3 years ttc and ended up with another mc at 6 weeks. Also thinking of going down the clomid road this time. Just waiting for my period to start then have blood test at day 22 to test if my hormones were the problem with the mc. Good luck to you all. Maybe this time all will work out!
