I am wondering if any of you have any great country style ideas for a nursery..either gender..we want to use some realtree bedding..but beyond that I am at a bit of a loss... Who's got some creativity here....?
Do an accent wall of pine boards. You can buy antler light fixtures, switch covers and so on. Etsy has many wall decals geared towards country and hunting themes.
We are doing a max4 camo/duck hunting nursery for our baby boy. I made the crib skirt myself using the no sew method and fabric I got offline ($20 total cost plus I have enough left for curtains) my husband covered the light switch covers with leftover max4 vinyl he used to cover a rifle. Doing alot of brown/tan with hints of camouflage and ducks(including a wood duck mount on the wall)
I'd say burlap, lace, mason jars(to store cotton balls and other small objects) wood, antlers, duck feathers, wood wagon wheels..
Check out pintrest, there are tons of ideas and diy projects :-)
As of right now we are thinking camo and bears for the theme. There is great stuff on etsy and Pinterest though. I really like the wall decal that says I count antlers to go to sleep, not sheep.
I'm 19 weeks with twins and the hubby n I are total rednecks! We find out their sex on wednesday n that will probably determine what color camo crib sets. As far as theme we r thinking animals but we r not 100% set on much except we really want camo in the nursery.
That's awesome!!! We r finding out the sex on Saturday at our reveal party...we r definitely doing camo...if its a boy it will b harder to choose...realtree.com has alot of different styles... Girl, of course pink camo...we also want to find an older dresser that we can restore so we can have a bit of a rustic look with it...

lol Probably no confederate flag for me,and i live in eastern TN and am very redneck. That is not a symbol for a baby's room, i would never want my child to think i support racism even though i know the flag has "different meanings". I am doing a john deere theme if its a boy, with murals on the wall to look like a farm with a barn horses cows ect. If its a girl i am doing a woodland fairy theme with murals of trees baby wildlife and little mythical creatures peeping from behind the trees. Luckily i am a closet artist ... (lol an artist with a day job) .and i will be able to accomplish this myself.
I love the idea of making a mobile out of a branch. We decided to go with a Yosemite theme because that is where my husband proposed and (a year later) that's where our baby was conceived.
