How long before you were able to try again

I just had a D&C last Monday as a result of our baby stopping growing at 8.5 weeks. It was a missed miscarriage. I'm eager to try again as soon as possible. I have random spotting when I wipe and I go for my follow up next Tuesday. How long before you got your periods again after a D&C and how long after that did you get pregnant ?

We waited 3 months to try again. I wanted to try sooner, but I also understood that my body needed to heal.

No not yet, I am waiting another few weeks until I go to the doctor as I am aware that this is very early to fall again.
When I misscarried the doctors confirmed I had lost it and did a test and it was negative - I mention this as someone said about my pregnancy hormone may not being down to nil which may be why I'm showing as positive. It's not unheard but I will keep you posted in 10 days when I see the doctor

After my D&E last July we were told to wait one cycle. It took 6weeks to have a cycle so it was October before we started trying and we became pregnant again in March. I'm now 23 weeks.

Had a mmc Jan. 3 didn't need a D&C because it was said to be a very early pregnancy. Wasn't trying to conceive but found out I was 6wks pregnant on April 8 now currently 23w4d.

I had a MMC in December. The baby should have been 8 weeks, but only a yolk sac was visible. I had a D&C a week later. I ended up needing a second follow up D&C two weeks after because for the first time in my life, I was actually a special snowflake. Because of this, my midwife suggested I wait two cycles to give my lining a chance to rebuild, though another said it was fine to try right away. From what I've read, there are no studies that actually support waiting--in theory the lining of your uterus has to be thick enough to support ovulation. Most docs/midwives suggest waiting because you'll have a better idea of when you ovulated--that way you don't go in expecting to be further along than you are and have a week of gut-wrenching anxiety. Anyway, my second D&C was late January and I got pregnant again in May (and am now 14 weeks). It felt like it took forever at the time, but I'm now insanely grateful it was so quick and that things seem to being going well. My cycles were a bit unpredictable after the miscarriage--I ended up temping and using the clearblue fertility monitor because they were so weird--but I ended up with shorter cycles because I started ovulating earlier in the cycle.

My OB told me to wait three cycles so we did, but my fertility specialist said that there wasn't any "science" to the three cycle rule. I was worried about my uterine lining not being built back up enough to support a pregnancy because my periods afterwards were light and short. What has your doctor suggested?

They said two cycles but I've heard stories of women having to wait two months before they got their period again! That would be like 4 months before we could even try again. My fiancé is on board with whatever I want but he said he just wants to make sure I'm healed.

I had mmc in October, I didn't end up needing a d&c and my hcg was 0 just over a week later. It still took 9 or 10 weeks for me to get my period!

I got pregnant my very first cycle trying but the baby was a blighted ovum. I had a D&C at 9 weeks. The doctor recommended waiting three cycles. I wanted to try again right away however. The only thing that seemed to have any grounds on waiting was if your uterine lining wasn't built up. My first period came one week later than my usual 30 day cycle but was very, very light. We waited another cycle and I had a normal period so we started trying again.

It took seven cycles before I got pregnant again but lost that baby at five weeks. I was charting the whole time and had some anovulatory cycles. After the second loss I didn't ovulate for four months! I finally ovulated on my own on CD 28 in May, then in June my doctor put me on 2.5 mg of Letrozole and I ovulated on CD 31. At the end of June I took 5 mg of Letrozole and ovulated on CD 17 which resulted in my current pregnancy (I'm 5w3d)

So technically I got pregnant the first good cycle after my second loss but that took 7 months! I have PCOS however.

I had a chemical pregnancy in May and then got pregnant the next month. We weren't trying (all my other pregnancies and losses were via clomid). So far so good.

My doc said to wait one cycle, I got AF on July 11, exactly 1 month after D&C and got a BFP this week. Meeting doc next week to confirm if all okay.
