Any experience with a thickened heart valve?

Hey all! Just saw my OB yesterday and I have a hospital appt tomorrow so they can look at some things from my anatomy scan. One of the things they want to look at better is a thickened right heart valve. My OB didn't really say much besides that she wants the high risk team to take a look at it on their better U/S machine and will have the Dr. talk to us after. Also they want to look at some ventricles in the head a little closer. Do any of you have any type of experience though with the heart because I have no clue what to expect?

Re: Any experience with a thickened heart valve?

  • I have experience with the ventricles in the brain. I already see a perinatologist, but she sent me to the children's hospital for an MRI. I know it's hard not to worry, but they really do just want a better look and their equipment won't give it to them. Try not to worry, I'm sure the high risk specialist will get a better look and everything will turn out fine.
