C-sections

When do you start to feel normal

for those who have gone thru a c-section, how long until you started to feel "normal" and could resume doing the things you did prior to pregnancy?

@natjune - it's going to be different for everyone. I felt pretty amazing by 3 weeks after. However, my SIL took almost 4 months to recover from hers. I think it depends on how in shape you were before (though my SIL was in WAY better shape), how your body heals in general, if there was any additional body trauma during surgery, if your wound healed properly, if it was stapled or glued, etc.

  • I was moving around pretty well about 2 weeks after both, but really felt like "myself" again around the 6 week mark when I got the ok to start working out again. As PP said, though, that'll very by person and actual c-section experience.
