I am 6 wks pregnant and they found a huge hematoma. I have not bled at all or had cramping. My doctor didn't really tell me much about it. I go back in a wk to check it. Any advise would be great

I had one that didn't bleed either, everyone else I talked to who had one theirs bled. Did they put you on pelvic rest?
They put me on pelvic rest along with nothing that would increase my blood pressure (making it more likely to bleed). It was there for a long time, but it eventually dissolved and I haven't had another one since! Since its not bleeding, I'd try to baby it and just picture it getting smaller and smaller until it dissolves.
Yes doctor said no sex or exercise! I have the next few days off so trying to be lazy! Thank u so much for your reply and I will imagine it getting smaller that helps! Thanks

It sounds silly, but I tried everything. They also told me to stay hydrated, because when you get dehydrated it irritates your uterus. I think you'll be fine. Mine stuck around for a long time, but it eventually absorbed. I'll be sending you similar thoughts!
Thank you so much! It is so scary my doctor said it was huge and was not comforting about it either. She said baby looked good but the hematoma was just so big. How many wks did it take to re absorb?

Your doctor sounds awesome. I was seeing a fertility specialist when it first showed up and they weren't concerned at all. They said that it was common and just told me what (not) to do. At 11 weeks I "graduated" to a high risk specialist and the only thing she said is that she didn't want to do amnio or anything like that while it's still there. (We had one genetic loss, so we were on the lookout.) It was there a really long time! I go back next Friday and I'll ask exactly how long, but one day they just couldn't see it on the ultrasound anymore. They still advised that I take it easy, though, since they don't know what causes them.
Wow! Ya i am seeing a fertility specialist too! She was very cold and bc of that I am seeing a new doc on Tuesday! I did IVF to get my daughter then did a frozen transfer and has a miscarraige. Went back to do another frozen transfer found out I am pregnant w this baby! Crazy miracle!!! I hope your appt Friday goes great!

I'd get a new doctor, too. I'm proud of you for switching now, a lot of people would try to stick it out. My sister tried and ended up switching at 22 weeks! She didn't love her doctor, but tried to stick it out. Once they started talking about birth plans she realized that they were never going to be on the same page and switched.
You'll have to keep me posted! But I'm sure your body will absorb it, you'll just have to be patient. After a while you'll forget about it and won't even ask about it anymore. Here's my email if you post way later and I miss it!
Awe Ya I will definantly keep u updated!! I have an appt Tuesday to see heartbeat. I was 6 wks 1 day and couldn't see one yet. How far along are you? Congrats for getting past stupid hematoma! Thanks for making me feel better!

That's exciting! I have one Friday, so we'll have to swap stories. I'll ask when my hematoma disappeared, too. I'm telling you, you're worried about it now, but you'll forget all about it. I was worried about mine, too, because everyone's was causing what they described as big bleeds. You're actually the first person I've ever "met" whose didn't bleed either. I'm 27 weeks. My baby and I will be sending you and your baby good vibes! :P
