Good morning, my husband and I have 2 crazy boys and are having a girl in October. I chose to name her after my husband's great aunt, Lucille. I originally was going with Lucy for short but my husband brought up Lucie which I like too. What do you think? Thanks!
I would either do Lucy or Lucille. Lucie is the French spelling, so if you aren't very very French, it might come off too cutesy or 'you-neek.' Lucy is a great name!
You can name her Lucille and call her Lucy/Lucie for short. If you want the name Lucy and it is not a nn then I would spell it with a "y" My first instinct for a nn for Lucille is to spell it Lucie. I don't think either one would be wrong if you like a spelling over another.
