Daycare- Thoughts on when you will go to work?

I have been thinking about when I will have to go back to work- i am freelance now. If I can not find enough work from home, I will have to find a nanny or daycre for the days I am working in the city. HAve any of you thought about how many months old your baby will be when you go back to work and for ladies that live in manhattan or staten island, where are you considering or where have you gone before for daycare in the past?
