I went into preterm labor Monday and doctors stopped it with magnesium sulfate (awful) to get some steroid shots in to mature their lungs in case they couldn't stop labor, then everything stopped completely. I'm 5cm dilated and they won't let me go home because it's likely labor will be very fast when it does start again. But will it start tomorrow? Tuesday (34 weeks)? or in three more weeks when I'm full term? Miserable here but I know this is what's best for the girls.
The babies' dads are here, trying to keep me company and hoping their babies stay in a few more days to get to 34 weeks. We had a tour of NICU today, and they said every day inside = 3 fewer days in NICU. Doing my best to remember that, while my husband is juggling everything at home (4 kids, house, work, nursing school...). We planned on me being on bedrest at home, but being stuck at the hospital is proving to be really difficult for our family. Hoping for the best possible outcome for everyone!
