Ultrasound images, Girl or Boy?

Just had my 22.5 week ultrasound and was told we are having a boy! We were told at 13 weeks it was going to be a girl and now dr saying its a boy. I am attaching image- what do you guys think? Definitely a boy, right?

I'd say its a boy. And congrats to you. we hopefully find out gender tomorrow im almost 20 weeks cant wait.

I have no idea as well I can't even tell where the legs are! I would have told them to check a few different times just to make sure.

Maybe next appt talk with the doctor and say u just want to double check and schedule another ultrasound because u weren't happy with how it was done or something..just make up something to verify. That's what I would do if I was double thinking it

The ultrasound would be more accurate at 22 weeks than at 13 weeks. Most places won't confirm the sex until 16-20 weeks.

This. 13 weeks is way too early to accurately confirm sex.

I agree. I am surprised they even guessed at 13 weeks.

Yea, the genitals are barely developing at 13 weeks. Most of them all still look like girls at that point. I'm surprised that they made a guess that early. I would go with the 22 week ultrasound. If you're really unsure you can always go for an elective ultrasound to confirm. Most doctors will not re-do an ultrasound because you were 'unhappy' with it; they'll only schedule you another one if there is a medical need.

I second what PP said about the genitalia development. Go with the 22w scan.
Also, would it be such a big deal if they where wrong? Either way you have a beautiful (and I'm guessing healthy?) baby on the way and you'll definitely find out their sex at birth.

I probably wouldn't make something up to get another u/s. If you are really worried you can pay for an elective scan at one of those 3D u/s boutiques.

As others have suggested, sex organs look the same/very similar at 13 weeks. The anatomy scan is the more accurate one. At 13 weeks it is just as "accurate" as old wives tales (50/50). Go to a 3d/4d ultrasound botique for further confirmation

My ultrasound tech guessed at 12 weeks and said girl. I spent a week and a half celebrating. I told everyone it was a girl. Well my NIPT test come back and it's a boy. I cried a little but was so happy my test was normal. Here is my ultrasound and his legs wide open but no penis is visible.

I can't tell what I'm looking at. What the arrows are pointing at doesn't look like boy parts unless it's super close up...looks like none of my past ultrasounds that were boys. I would call the place that told you at 13 weeks and tell them the doctor office told you it was boy. If it's reputable in any way, they should bring you in for free to have a look. Any place doing gender checks at 13 weeks isn't worth your money. I wouldn't trust em.

Where the arrows are, it looks like it is pointing at the femur on the leg...) If you see it the way I do, the but is upside down on the top of the ultrasound and the sex organs are in the middle. If I see it correctly, it looks like there are lines between the cheeks (you can see the line vertically on top where the butt is..)  It doesn't look like I see a "turtle" in fact it looks like lines. 

I edited it so you can see, in the red box is between the legs and if you ask me, it looks like a girl..

Definitely not the proper angle required to depict gender. Have you any other photos? 'potty shot' ? I cannot even tell what I am looking at. I dont see any male OR female parts here, TBH.

And while sharing is fun, my childs genitals are hers, not mine, and not for me to share on the internet. She will probably not thank me for it, ever.
If grows up and wants to share images of her genitalia with strangers on the internet, then that's her decision to make. Not, ever, mine.

You don't have to be a TB member to see the posts and images. Plus, TB will own any image you post and will be able to do whatever they want with it.

Umm I don't think in the red box is where to look, that is one leg, the other leg didn't make the shot but that is a big ding dong under the leg you have the box on.... It's a boy chickie
