Can I have a period and still be pregnant?

I had unprotected sex with my ex about 2 months ago. My first period was odd. The whole first day was bloody discharge. Then a lighter flow of blood. Not to mention it was a couple days late. The next month I had it again on time, but it was still lighter than usual. I usually have a heavy flow but it wasn't. And it doesn't last as long. When I had sex I was ovulating, but the guy claims he didn't ejaculate in me however when I brought up I was late he confessed he may have been a little too late. I'm slightly confused and would like to know if it's possible to have a light period while you're pregnant?

If you feel you are old enough to have sex, you need to take the time to learn about your body and use proper protection.

Well I would seriously suggest a pregnancy test if you are worried about it. It's unlikely but it may ease your mind.

If you don't understand the basic biology of how your body works, then you probably aren't ready to be having sex yet.

Listen, I get that you're young and scared, but use birth control! You've had two periods...if you still think you might be pregnant, take a test. Its really not that hard. If you're old enough to have sex, you should be old enough to take some responsibility. If you can't figure out where to buy a pregnancy test or how to use BC, I think you need to abstain till you grow up a little.

This is a board of ladies who are desperately hoping & trying for a baby. It is, frankly, incredibly rude and hurtful for you to ask us if you're pregnant when you sure seem to be afraid/worried/"paranoid" that you might be knocked up. Not the right board for this.

OP - If you aren't ready to get pregnant, use protection. If your pregnancy tests are negative, and you have had two periods, you are not pregnant. I really encourage you to learn about how your body works.

Seriously, just take a pregnancy test. And use a condom. Pregnancy goes away in 9 months, but Hep B and HIV/AIDS are for life.
