we had our six month post op for my DD heart surgery. We do not need any more surgeries, her valve does not leak any more and a small hole the missed during surgery is almost all heals up!!!!!! The presser in her left lung has dropped to normal and she is now over 16lbs and is 27in long!!!!!
She is plotting well on a regular chart and above average on the Down syndrome chart! The Dr was so happy with how well DD is doing and growing she has no worries and we do not have to go back for a year!!!!!!
That's great news! I know what it's like to have health issues with the LO. My daughter has a disease called infantile hemangioendothelioma (mouthful). Basically several masses on her liver. 1 out of 500,000 babies have this type of disease. We spent a month in and out of the hospital trying to figure what she has, several specialists thought it could be cancer since they could not tell through an ultrasound and mri. We ended up doing an open liver biopsy to get a sample of the mass to get the diagnosis. Going through this and any health issue is hard to deal with. I wish the best to you.
I have an autoimmune disease that took till I was 19 to find out about. My pediatric endocrinologist did not even think to test for that. I went 12 years before they even found out I had a thyroid problem and that's why I am so short and small.
