It's so hard to wait between appointments!

I think my IF brain has improved somewhat (not actively freaking out every single day), but it's still so hard to wait between appointments! I'm just so nervous something is wrong & I don't know it. I keep wanting to give in & buy a fetal Doppler, but I've heard they are nightmares because you often can't find a heartbeat, even though everything is fine. I'm counting the weeks until I can feel the baby move. (I'm almost 16w now.) I hope movement will be proof that the baby is, in fact, alive and well. No real question, just had to vent for a sec!

    Omg I would NOT have made it without my Doppler, it gave me such peace of mind

    I find the wait to be so terrible, too. I continually count down the days in my head until the next one. I have a Doppler and I think I'm one of the few that never liked it. I couldn't find the heartbeat until way later than most (16w?) and I started feeling movement at about 18 weeks so it wasn't real useful for me. I have used it a handful of times, but start to worry if I don't find it right away and then when I do, I worry if it's loud enough, fast enough, etc, etc. Just my IF brain making me crazy.
    Me: 37, DH: 38: ttc 7 years, dx: unknown
    10/11: after 2 years, saw a RE, FSH 5.4
    11/11: BFP! (surprise after thyroid & normal hsg),
    12/11: missed m/c after 7 week u/s, 1/12: D&C
    6/12 IUI#1-IUI #3: clomid = BFP!, C/P
    IVF #1(10/12) FSH 5.4, AFC: 16 long Lupron, 5R/5M/4F, all 4 made it to 5dt, 1 blast/1-8 cell transferred=BFN
    IVF #2(12/12)AFC 21, MD lupron, 4R/4M/3F, 5dt of 1 blast and 2-8cell. BFN.
    IVF#3(4/13) Natural start antagon protocol, 12R,11F. one PGS normal at day 6 transfer. BFN.
    IVF#4 (11/13) C.CRM (ODW.U normal 8/13 Still no Diagnosis) EPP/antagonist. ER 13R/7M/6F. Only 1 made it to freeze. Abnormal. Looking into options of DE, Fresh vs frozen.
    10/14 new local RE to look into what's next. CD3 FSH 4.7, AMH 0.9. Met with DE agencies and exploring options for feb/march 2015.
    Surprise natural bfp (4 days before donor is signed). Beta #1 at 9dpo: 51.8, 2nd beta: 195 (25 hours doubling) @11dpo. 3rd beta (12/15): 516 (35 hrs doubling) 4th beta(12/17): 895 (58 hours doubling) 5th beta(12/19): 2120. U/S at 5w0d(12/22): one gestational sac with yolk sac. U/S #2 (6w0d)12/29. One little bean measuring 6w0d with HR 124. 3rd u/s(1/4)7w0d: baby measuring 7w2d. HR 134. 3/30: A/S at MFM went great except for low lying placenta. Verifi results are normal! Team Blue! Please send any positive thoughts our way! EDD:8/24/2015
    Baby Will born 8/18. He's perfect.

    True that would be frustrating, for me my placenta is anterior so even at almost 27 weeks I don't feel a ton of movement which isn't reassuring so the doppler helps

    It is agonizing!  I used a doppler and it definitely saved my sanity.  Hopefully you'll start feeling some movement soon.  I felt a little movement around 18 weeks, but nothing consistent until around 25.

    IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN

    With DD my doppler was my sanity saver!  I had an anterior placenta with her and didn't feel regular movement till close to 23 weeks.  May have felt a twinge around 20 weeks, but nothing that I could say, yup, that's baby!  I loaned it out with this pregnancy.  I have 2 anterior placentas.  But, between my OB and MFM, I have been seen every 2 weeks.  So that has been my sanity saver this time around.  28 weeks today and I feel both babies on a regular basis at night... they seem to sleep all day....God help us!  :-)

    3/4/13 measuring right on track beautiful heartbeat 171 bpm, graduated from RE to OB... bittersweet.

    11/13 beta #1  924!!!  2nd bet 11/15 1906, one more on 11/17 3rd & final beta 3430.  First u/s 12/5, 7w4d, 2 heartbeats,
    both measuring right on track....2nd u/s... all is well... both beans measuring right on track... released from RE... first
    appointment with MFM 1/5.  Looks like this is really happening!

    You sound EXACTLY like me! I also went through fertility & was super spoiled by weekly ultrasounds. I have my 16 week u/s on Tuesday & have been losing sleep over the anxiety. I don't feel "as pregnant" & worry so much that something will be wrong with my twins. I'm constantly stressing. I do have a Doppler but use it rarely bc I don't like the anxiety when I can't find the HB right away.
    The good news is that the odds of something being wrong are very very slim at this point. We need to learn to relax & enjoy our pregnancies! I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers!

    Thank you! I hope you have good appointments! We are close to our 20 week! Totally nerve wracking. I'll be excited after. I kinda feel like I'm going to pass out after, I'm so relived. I'll be thinking of you too!!!

    So glad to see I'm not the only one feeling this way! I just graduated from my RE, who I was seeing weekly, and now my OB told me she will only see me once a month! It's agonizing!!!

    It's soooo hard. Mine sees me about every 3 or 4 weeks. However, I go out to a speciality clinic for some things- the NT scan and my upcoming 20 week ultrasound. So, there's been a few more appointments in there. Also, I thought I'd be getting an ultrasound every time I saw the OB, but it's usually just the fetal Doppler. So that took some adjusting. I'm totally freaked out about my 20 week ultrasound on Friday. Agghhhhhhh! It's soooo hard to wait!

    I didn't use a fetal doppler. About the time my MS subsided- a clear sign that something was going on in there- I felt fetal movement. I will say unlike some, mine happened all of a sudden. I would lie awake trying to feel something, anything. Then during week 17 while I was (ironically?) typing up a message on the Bump boards, I felt her kick. It hasn't been until this week (22) that I can feel other movements besides her kicking. Are you feeling anything yet? I find her moevements set my IF brain at ease like nothing else.

    I can't wait to feel something definitive. It scares me that I don't feel much. Over the last 2 weeks (I'm 20w 2d now) I've felt something that I really think is him moving, but only 4 times. Now it's been a few days and I'm second guessing those feelings. It felt different than any of the other sensations in that area, so I'm hoping I'm right. I guess it takes a while to be sure.
