I'm looking for recommendations for wraps that perform well in hot and humid weather. We live in NC and my kids are little radiators. I've been a SSC mama for years but would like to get into wrapping. Thanks!
For a squish, Vatanai Naglitki (old, thin whales) is hands down my fave. Perfect in a size 3.5m.
For a larger baby or a toddler my fave is my Heartiness handwoven silk blend. It's light, breathable, yet very supportive and not at all touchy like some silk content wraps. I love Didy Indios, but would stay away from 100% cotton for an older or bigger baby. I love my hemp Indio, but I couldn't use it in a NC summer. Maybe a linen Indio?
How big is your baby? I like the boba wrap. I live in a so-so hot and humid city as well (not as hot and humid as NC) and I'm quite comfortable wearing this in the summer.
Wool! I know it sounds a bit counterintuitive, but wool is a wonderful fibre choice for temperature regulating. My didymos jade triblend was a wonderful summer wrap too. (cotton, hemp and linen) Linen is a great choice too.
