Re: ***2nd Trimester Check-in 4/20 - New Check-in Leader Needed!***

  • 23 weeks 4 days here. Soooo close to v-day! Come on Thursday! Been having some back aches all weekend and a constant pressure in my lower abdomen. Hoping it's just everything stretching. Last night I had a little bit if really mucosy discharge. Now I'm all paranoid it was part of my mucus plug. It was like a clear/very light yellowy ish color. Idk. I wish I wasn't so dang paranoid. My next appt is next Tuesday so still a week away.

QOTD: No name yet. I wish one would pop out at me and I would just be like 100% yes. Right now, I think we are leaning towards Brayden Patrick though.

    ***SIGGY WARNING***

  • Thinking of you, @dsculley1824 !!! Hope all is well and your appointment gives you some reassurance!

Today is 27w+1d!!! A milestone my best friend celebrated with us by making a cake that said "Happy Fetal Viability Day" (hahaha in the shake my head kinda way.) Happy our LO has a 85-90% chance if delivered now, so that's mildly reassuring... but it doesn't look like he's going anywhere anytime soon. He seems perfectly comfy in there. :) Excited for next week's ultrasound! Hoping to see a lot of growth especially in the head circumference area (u/s at 20 weeks measured in the 8th percentile)

QOTD: Have you picked a name yet? How do you respond to the name suggestions/questions you get?

    - Sure have - Skyler Hunter (Sky for short). I've actually had that name picked out since I was 15 and hubby loved the middle name, so we were able to decide pretty early on (around 10 weeks). I think since we decided so quickly we didnt' get a lot of suggestions/questions. But I just brush them off like "Oh, ok... well maybe we'll name our next one that haha"

It is our last week here in this check in so wishing everyone the best in this journey!!! Good Luck! :)

  • 15w2d and feeling pretty decent now! Looking forward to my appointment on May 5th because I want to know the gender lol.

QOTD: We've picked a girl name but haven't decided on a boy name yet. And we usually just tell people that :)

  • Hey Ladies!
Can't believe it's my last check-in. Here we come third tri!! It's very surreal to think how far I've made it and how big my bump is already (oh boy!!)! I'm in the middle of my glucose test right now. FX I pass! Afterwards I'm headed to my OB for a routine check-up.

QOTD: I'm name obsessed and have three complete boy and girl names picked (that DH agrees with too!)! Haha. Ready for the future I guess. We are going with Oliver for this babe. :) When people ask me, I tell them we're keeping it a secret. It's fun to have one surprise.

Good luck with the rest of 2nd tri ladies and see some of soon in 3rd tri!

  • 25 weeks and hanging in there.  With the nicer weather my activity restrictions have been a bit of a bummer.  But I just keep telling myself it's just for a short time.  OB appointment this week and hopefully all is going well and problem free.

QOTD:  I think we actually have names picked out for the twins now but we are not sharing with anyone.  We are leaning toward old-fashioned names - think names that were popular in the 1880s per the Social Security website.  We did this with DD too.  People constantly ask us about names - even family - but I don't want anyone's opinion about it.  They will learn the babies' names when they meet them - and I dare them to make a rude comment then.

  • I missed last weeks checkin due to a conference. Baby is kicking up a storm! I will be 25 weeks tomorrow. I can't believe how quickly this has gone. My tailbone is killing me and extreme exhaustion has JUST started. I know I should feel lucky because it seems like most people are tired the whole time. I have felt pretty normal in that regard.

I have my diabetes test in two weeks, but nothing until then. For the most part, have you ladies enjoyed being pregnant? Because I know I shouldn't say this, but I have hated it. I am so thankful to be pregnant, but the sickness, sleeplessness and weight gain have really been rough on me.

QOTD: Yes, we are naming her Elliott Paige and  we are just starting to tell some people. I really didn't want my husbands parents to know/judge us, but he told them and they reacted as I expected..... very concerned that we would name a girl with a boy name. I believe her exact response was "REALLY!? Well okay...." I mean, it makes me angry, but I did expect them to hate it. We love it, so that's all that really matters.
    Our story:

  • I am 21 weeks 4 days. We have been working on the nursery this week. My belly is getting huge! I swear I am the size I was with my 1st at 30 weeks.

QOTD: We are naming her Alexandra Grace. We got a lot of suggestions, but most of the feedback for the name we picked has been pretty positive.

  • Hey all! At 21w4d. We had our Babymoon last week and while we were there my DH felt her kick! It was awesome! We registered tonight. I'm not a pink fan so I was leaning towards purple, teals and yellows. The pink on there is from DH having the gun. He said pink is for girls. Lol. Sigh. God love him.

QOTW: yes!!! Liv Annmarie. It means life and god has favored me. I love the name we picked out. I have everyone ask me if it's Olivia and Liv for short. Nope just Liv and no I don't want to change it :)

  • 23 wks tomorrow! Mostly feeling good- some heartburn, ankles are a little puffy, and tired. But I think the fatigue is related to our closing on a new house next week and our current house being for rent/having daily showings. I'm over it.

We have maternity pics this weekend! It's a little early, but the belly is already large and in charge, and i don't want to be too big. We may do a 2nd set in a few weeks with a friend's dad too.

QOTW- we have the boys name ready to go. Girl's is on the fence. We aren't sharing - too many opinions and opinionated people!
