I'm 8 weeks and 3 days when will I start feeling my baby move? What's the earliest you can find out the gender? How many times should I expect to be poked and prodded before labor? If it's a boy opinions on circumcisions? What formula(s) are best to start a baby out on? Best and worst opinions on diapers? What should I pack in my hospital bag? When should I start buying nursery stuff? Im having two baby showers (different state for family) is it weird to have one 4 months before the baby is here? I wanna have one when it's warm so it can be outside. I like to plan ahead of time so I don't know if I'm over thinking all this or not lol.

This is the third trimester board. You should post on the first tri board for better support.

I suggest buying or borrowing a pregnancy book and check out some pregnancy websites to educate yourself on the process.

Agreed with pp however for your knowledge you will not feel baby move till late 2nd trimester or early 3rd. Please look into books or even searching online for basic details and if you need help or have questions post in appropriate board we have no problem answering questions when done so correctly. Thank you.

You're going to get better responses if you do your own research and then come back to the boards with more specific questions. Right now, your post kind of sounds like "tell me everything I should know about pregnancy and babies...." What to Expect When You're Expecting or a similar book would be a great place to start.

I agree with the PP's. Try the first trimester boards, talking to your OB, and just I researching online or reading books.

Most people don't feel babies move until 24-28 weeks I would guess. For me, I felt my son and my daughter at 19 wks but this time around I didn't feel our son until about 24 mo.

Gender isn't really formed until 15-16 wks and most find out at their anatomy scans which is 18-20 wks. Some fine out with other testing as soon as 12 wks I think.

Diapers, wipes, baby gear... All that stuff you'll learn on your own. You'll learn what you like and what LO likes. I wouldn't worry about that stuff.

How many times you'll be poked lol. Well thT depends on how your pregnancy goes and whether or not you have any complications.

Hospital bag you don't have to worry about just yet. Lol. I'm 33 wks and haven't packed a thing yet but my biggest advice is a phone charger. Your own pillow. Going home clothes for you and baby. Etc.

Cart before the horse! Get a great pregnancy book like The Mayo Clinic guide & The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy.

-- anywhere between 24-30 weeks on average for FTM

-- sex. Anywhere between 18-24 weeks.

How many times should I expect to be poked and prodded before labor?
-- blood draws for glucose test. More if you have to do the three hour.

If it's a boy opinions on circumcisions?
-- my son is not circ. I originally wanted to but changed my mind when he was born.

What formula(s) are best to start a baby out on?
-- if you choose not to BF (or can't) then formula is dependent on the baby's tolerance. For DD we used Similac sensitive.

Best and worst opinions on diapers?
-- pampers sensitive swaddlers worked best on our kids, but it all depends on the baby.

What should I pack in my hospital bag?
-- google this. The list is long.

When should I start buying nursery stuff?
-- third trimester

-- you don't plan anything for your showers. That's gift grabby & rude. Your hostesses decide & you show up (rain or shine)
