Is anyone having pain in their tailbone? I have only put on one pound but find it really painful by the end of the day. Anyone know what to do about this?
Stretching helps me. Look up stretches that relieve lower back pain and do them every morning and night. My tailbone only hurts when I sit too long. Hang in there mama!
Mine started with DS#1 and then went away after birth. It cropped back up with #2 and I still struggle with it now with #3. Definitely stretching and massaging the area helps, but I also do yoga several times a week and I also see a chiropractor which I think helps even more. Definitely find a chiropractor that specializes in working with pregnancy. I can't recommend them enough. I also got one of those sitting donuts (you can get them from a pharmacy or medical supply store) to sit on and relieve some of the pressure if you're going to be sitting for a long period of time. Good luck!
Yes it's so painful . I talked with my 2 friend who are PT last night and bith said the joints between our tail bone , muscles , and ligaments are all moving and stretching making room for baby. Thanks to the horman relaxin ? ( I think that's how you spell it ) he said the best thing is kegals , chair squats , and some bridges if done correctly . Hope this helps !
I was just thinking of posting this! My bum hurts so bad I can't sit on anything that's not super comfy (my couch is the only thing so far). I figured it had to do with all th moving of bones and stuff but I'm hoping that it doesn't last too long
I had it really badly and I realized it was mostly from the lack of support on my couch. When i started using normal chairs with decent back support it went away almost entirely! my couch sort of reclines back...
Yep, it has gotten worse with each pregnancy. My PT said is also related to weak pelvic floor and poor core strength. As things relax and the weight of baby grows we clench muscles in the bum etc causing the tightness and pain. Stretching helps but you might want to see a PT if you can.
Mine too! I bruised mine when I was 12 and I've had problems ever since then. I notice it mostly at work. I work front desk at a salon and we have stools with no backs. My posture is so bad at work and I know that's why I hurt most of the time!
Omg!!! I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one. I am a file clerk so most of my work day is spent sitting in a really uncomfortable chair. I'm the low woman on the todampole so to speak so I don't have a good chair. Would it be wrong to pull the pregnancy card and ask for a better one? Lol sometimes the pain is so bad I come home crying.
@Pepperscott Have you tried a pillow behind you. My doctor suggested this to me but I can't because the stools we have at work don't have backs. They also make gel seat cushions that are really nice.
Re: tailbone pain?
Hope this helps !
