Choosing an OB that is affiliated with Hospital you want to Deliver

I want to deliver at NYP- Columbia...
But they cannot accomodate my 1st OB appointment, I need to be seen anytime after 2:45. This is so that Daddy can be there.
However they are saying that "1st Appointments" are held earlier in the day. That just doesnt work for us. It's both of our first, and he wants and of course i want him to be there

How much does it matter that your OB is affiliated with the hospital you deliver?
