I just started LO one formula shes 3 weeks old and ate about 3 oz of breast milk. Now i am worried she isnt eating enough. Shes only eating an ounce of the formula. Is this okay!?
One way to tell if your LO is getting enough to eat. Take your baby's weight and times that by 2.5. Now take that number and divide it by 8 and that's how much milk your LO should be taking a feed. They get 2.5 ozs for every pound they weigh and they should eat roughly 8 times a day. For example, LO weighs 8 lbs 8ozs. Times that by 2.5 and you get 22. Then divide that by 8 you get 2.75oz. And that's roughly what they should be getting a feed.
