Pleural effusion

I'm new to this forum but I had my anatomy scan last week and was told my baby has fluid in her chest causing the heart to be completely pushed to the wrong side and also her lungs are compressed. Luckily I live close to CHOP (children's hospital of Philadelphia) which is a great hospital with amazing doctors. I went there yesterday to have the fluid drained and have to go back on Monday to see if it comes back, which would result in a shunt being placed in the baby's chest. This last week has been very stressful and overwhelming and I'm just wondering if anyone here has had any experience with this?
