I'm actually getting a IUD this coming Monday and I've heard they work really well. My doctor said you feel a little crampy afterwards but that's about it(:

I used Mirena before LO and had a great experience. After the first 6 months my periods tapered off to nothing, and I had no problems TTC after 5 years with it.

I had Mirena put in 5 days ago . I'm 6 weeks post partum . Other than cramping during the insertion and a little afterward I felt fine . Didn't really hurt getting it just uncomfortable .

I'm 8 Weeks post partum and will be getting Mirena put in Monday. Thanks for the info ladies, now I can prepare myslef for the procedure.

I am 8 weeks postpartum and I am getting Mirena, just waiting for approval and an appointment to get it placed.

Everyone reacts differently to all different types of BC. I got pregnant while on mirena.
