At the hospital!

Scheduled for induction this morning at 10:30, but our little girl had other plans. Labor started yesterday and we went in at 2 am. Went from 3cm to 6cm by 7:30, and now at 8cm. So thankful that I decided to get the epidural as it is working great and with the timing of everything, I had been awake for about 24 hours by the time it was started. I was able to nap a little and that has been nice. My water broke about two minutes after the midwife walked out of the room saying she'd be back to do it in about an hour. Just so happy we will get to meet her soon, and without needing to be induced!

Just needed some Pitocin during pushing. I was progressing well, but reached the 3 1/2 hour point and the contractions slowed to every five minutes. They ended up using the vacuum to assist. Turned out she came out with her hand above her head... Quite a thumb sucker, so it figures! She's absolutely perfect!
