Hello grads!... Please post an update on how you're doing here!

QOTW: You suddenly wake up and discover that you're 18 years old again, on graduation day in high school. You have exactly 24 hours to change something about your future before you head back to your normal age. What do you do?
Hey there! So Im 6 weeks 1 day. A little nervous only because my symptoms have seem to disappeared. I was expecting to start feeling sick this week so now I'm starting to feel even more nervous ha ha. My first Dr apt is next week on the 26th so Im keeping my fingers crossed for a heart beat.
I'm so excited to hear the good news about BFP's on this board however! @2pupsnokids and @teenie16 congratulations!!!! I hope to see you over on the November 15 board. Its pretty mature so far, not much snark. You may have already been there and Im just forgetting, if so Ill be looking out for you now :-) Yay!
With only 24 hours to change something at 18 I'm not sure what I could do really. To be honest I'm not sure I would change anything. I'm kind of a believer that all my actions including my terrible mistakes have led me to where I am now and I wouldn't be the person I was now if I changed something about my past. Maybe I would never have met my husband or had my daughter? I don't think Id risk that. if anything maybe Id just tell myself to eat right and exercise ha ha
I'm five weeks. I have to say, I really don't feel any differently. Which, I am in no way complaining about. I'll take it! Congratulations @teenie16 and @rspalding001 ! I don't know when I'll be joining the other boards, I'm just kind of lurking on this one for awhile.
As for being 18...I'd probably tell myself to drink less and study harder...and being 18, I wouldn't have listened:)
TTC #1 since June 2012 Husband: 41 Me: 36 3 failed IUIs changed REs 1 failed IVF (chemical pregnancy) 1 FET (single transfer) 2/28/15-BFP EDD 11/16/15 12 5-day frozen embryos
Congrats to @2pupsnokids (you'll have to change that soon HAHA) and @rspalding001!!! So very excited for you both!
I'm officially 4 weeks 3 days. HAHA! I had my beta yesterday and it was at 2115. The only symptoms I have so far are that I waver between ravenously hungry and not interested at all in food, and I'm thirsty all the time. I haven't chimed in on any of the other boards just yet just checking them out and still reading every post here.
If I was 18 for a day I'd tell myself to get my head out of my ass and change majors now instead of waiting 3 years waisting time on classes you're never going to use! I'm with @rspalding001 my decisions got me to where I am today and that's not a bad thing. Fun question!!!
7w3d here. No morning sickness, just a touch of nausea here and there. I really don't feel like eating period. So nothing ever looks good. My biggest complaint is the exhaustion!! All I want to do is sleep. It makes it very hard to work and concentrate at work.
I had my second OB appointment yesterday. It was scheduled with a Midwife and she was surprised I was scheduled with her. Basically as she put it, you will never see us. EVER. You are too high risk and will be followed by the MFM and Physicians. She did get me jump started and ordered a Thrombophillia Panel. I did that this morning and they took 13 vials of blood from me. I go back in next Thursday to their MFM clinic and meet with one of their doctors and get another u/s. Which I am excited to see the little one again. I go in this Thursday for a Cardiology Consult.
QOTW: Honestly, with my 18 yo self. Nothing I would change. Everything that has happened is critical to the person I am today. Now my 13 yo self........a different story.
@Teenie16 in order for the tickers to show up you need to go to Account Options, then signature settings and click on the button that looks like this: <> first, then paste your code into the box and click save. If you don't click on that little <> button it wont work
Thank you for your support through the TTC and pregnancy journey. It seemed to have gone by very quickly. Keeping my FX for you and I will of course continue to lurk.
I will be 13 weeks tomorrow! I'm still having a problem with MS unfortunately. It's how I begin every freaking morning, I'm so over throwing up!!! There's some things that used to help like saltines, ginger ale and crackers, but now I associate them with being sick so they just add to the nausea. I switched OB offices and LOVE my new office. They have an MFM in the practice so I see her after each of my OB/ultrasound appointments. Everyone I've met there is very educated in IVF/ART which makes me feel so much better than my last place. I got to here the heartbeats this week which was pretty awesome. So in the ultrasound baby A is chill and laid back, baby B is doing somersaults and never stopped moving throughout the entire US. I'm a little afraid when that one gets bigger, it is going to kick my ribs or bladder ALL DAY LONG! I'm so scared! Never mind after he or she is born, I know how I'll be losing my baby weight!!!
I'm in the home stretch - eight more weeks to go. Work is stressful and I'm defending my PhD in 8 days, but once that's behind me I look forward to nesting.
If I could go back to being 18, I would tell myself not to spend so many years in a good but not great relationship. I'd also take (even) more time to stay in touch with friends as I and they have moved near and far. Otherwise, in terms of career choices, I'm not sure I would have done much differently!
Wow, good luck with the PhD defense, @marijaa333! That's impressive. We will soon have to call you Dr. Marijaa333. I hope you can then enjoy your little one, and take your time with your dissertation.

Thank you! I won't be curing anyone with my sociology degree but hope I pass so I can relax during mat leave.
