I just got a new breasting, my first baby I pumped but it was a manual pump and I only pumped about once a day. This new ones a double electric pump... I just really need to know how to use it. It comes with 6 different e'er enter sized cone things, but how do i know which ones the right size for my nipple?
What is breasting? Also, the pump manufacturer's website will have more information if you didn't get instructions or don't know how to read them. Ameda and Medela both have videos to help with the not being able to read issue.
Sorry for the typos, this new phone has very small buttons and touch screens are hell for swollen fingers lol It cane with instructions but their very vague.. @RIngReady thanks ill do that!
I'd suggest a hands free bra for anyone with a double electric pump. At the very least, sacrafice a sports bra and cut holes in it to put the cups through. It's very difficult to hold a shield on both boobs and turn the pump on/off or adjust the setting and avoid spilling milk.
The shield size has to do with nipple size. You do not want your nipple rubbing the size of the shield and you also do not want the pump pulling your nipple into the shield. You nipple size will change after delivery, so you really can not size it just yet. Some of it is just trial and error to see which one does not cause pain and produces the most milk.
