My husband absolutely loves the name Hunter for a boy. So much so that he won't even discuss any other names. I like Hunter as well but not with our last name (Buck). He doesn't think its a big deal. Thoughts? Should I just pray for another girl?
I actually had a math teacher in high school with the same last name, and he/they named his kid Hunter Chase Buck. Some people hated it while others loved it. No one forgets his name easily, if that is a plus to you.
I don't like Hunter as a name in general. I think hunters (as in the people that hunt animals, not people named "hunter) are deplorable and I wouldn't want to associate a person who is just named "Hunter" with such a disgusting, barbaric hobby.

Bottom line, you need to both like the name. Hopefully he will understand!
But....with your last name it's a bit much.
