Haha it is overly complicated. But, fun fact: a regular kitchen trash bag spiraled around an empty diaper genie bag cartridge works just as well. Don't waste your money on refills! Just use the bags you likely already have. Works as long as you didn't throw out the circular container:)

Thank you so much!! I was literally sobbing trying to figure it out lol i ended up calling the 1-800 number and they walked me through it but I will never forget that trash bag tip. Those refills aren't cheap.
