NBR: Raw Chicken + Microwave

My in-laws are staying with us at the moment and my FIL is currently making us dinner ... Raw chicken ... In the microwave. ?!?!?!?!

Am I out of the loop or living under a rock and this is okay?!

We barely use our microwave as it is so maybe I just don't know.

Opinions, please!

I've never heard of someone cooking raw chicken in a microwave.

One thing's for sure: chicken does not taste good cooked in the microwave. :-D

I have a pampered chef fajita recipe that cooks raw chicken in the microwave.  It is super yummy! It tells you to use the deep covered baker though.  Not sure if that makes a difference.

Yeah that seems kind of odd to me. I would never think to cook a raw chicken in the microwave but I guess you could.

I've cooked a whole chicken in the microwave using the stone deep covered baker....it's awesome.
