baking soda gender predictor test and others

just wondering what everyone's take is on all the old wives tale kind of predictor test out there.  Have any of you tried any of these with previous pregnancys?  Anyone planning to try any of them with this pregnancy? 

I was thinking of the baking soda test in particular and wondering how much science there is behind that one.... after all it is some kind of chemical reaction that it shows, but to what is the question and is that a function of the pregnancy or other? 

just wondering.... I might just do it for fun.  anyone else?

Wal greens sells a gender predictor test I used with my two previous pregnancies. It may be similar to the baking soda test. It was correct showing boy with my first and girl with my second; however it was very hard to distinguish the color. Husband and I spent some time staring at it before we determined the results.

You are supposed to use it at the 12 week mark

I've heard they have a 50 / 50 chance of being correct.

I did ALL the old wives things (minus walgreens test) with DD, everything came out boy. I may or may not have bought a few cute baby boy things lol.
