Hey mamas, where have you found a CPST to inspect your car seat install? We have two convertible seats to install with towels/pool noodles and when I do it, they just do NOT feel secure or tight enough to be safe. I've been to SeatCheck.org and scoured the internet, but it's not particularly helpful when noting where I can see an ACUAL CPST, and when. For example, I have the info for my suburban police department but they don't know if the officer is a CPST (somewhat doubtful IMO).
So...have you been able to hunt down a time/place to see an actual CPST? If so, how, when and where? Many thanks.
For reference, I love the Chicco NextFit (I can install it with 110% confidence of accuracy) but our two Evenflo Tribute seats are giving me hell!
Health Partners does car seat clinics around the area, and I believe they are all run by CPSTs. They made sure ours was not only installed correctly, but that me and my husband knew how to put the baby in it correctly and tighten it correctly, etc.
Re: Where have you found a CPST for car seat inspection?
The people at Baby grand in Hopkins are really good at installs but IDK if they are certified. Call there to check.
Also - check out Car Seats for the Littles on facebook. There are a bunch of CPSTs on there who could help you locate a local.
GL!
