What is the shoe size width for most of your kiddos?
I have saved shoes from my 1st son. He has always been very tall. My 2nd son started walking over a month ago. What luck! He can reuse my son's size 6 shoes.... except they say he's a medium and not a wide. The fit specialist at Stride Rite said he might wind up as a narrow width. (!) I guess my guy really is a peanut?? He's been hanging out around the 30th percentile for weight.
Don't most babies start out as a wide width? And, what are the shoes at stores when you don't see a width specified? Are they mostly just medium at Target, i.e., Or, would most infant shoes be a wide if most babies are a wide width.
Thanks.

My LO was measured at Stride Rite when she was 10 months old and we were told she wore a regular width. We bought shoes there and couldn't get them on her feet. Then @ 2 months later she was measured again and we were told she needs a wide width. We still can't get those on her feet. The funny thing is that we have no problem getting the regular width shoes from other stores on her. So I have given up on Stride Rite.
first son was medium, second son wide; do frustrating that i can't reuse shoes! haven't found wide snow boots but the mediums i got seem to fit ok. same goes for sandals.
DD was measured once as a wide and then the next time as a regular. I buy regular usually but sometimes we get wide at the Nike outlet (they're always super cheap) and they fit her just as well.
