GTKY: New Years Eve Traditions

Happy New Year Ladies!

I'm not sure who will be around the boards today but I am stuck at work (saving time for mat leave) so I thought I would start a discussion about Your New Years Eve or New Years Day traditions.

Starting last year, the first full year MH and I were married we started writing down all the good things, items, places we went, things we achieved and so on and placed them in a jar. At midnight, after watching the ball drop we took out all the pieces of paper and read everything. It helps us stay thankful for the things that we have been blessed with. The first year was a success and hopefully we keep it going and can pass this tradition on to our children

Great idea! We just gorge on food and drinks with family and usually play games-uno and Mexican train dominoes are favorites.
