Sarah or Emily?

Right now it's pretty much a toss up for these names (if we have a girl). Middle name Renee.
DD's name is Claire Elise

And if you can, tell me why you picked one over the other.

I chose Sarah but love both. I just think Emily is a bit more popular right now which gave Sarah the edge.

I adore Sarah! I like Emily as well just not as much as Sarah.

I have an Emily, so I chose Emily. I like Emily & Claire together. Also, I knew a lot of Sarahs growing up but hardly any Emilys, so am more tired of Sarah.

Thank you ladies! I feel the same way- I love both names, but Emily is soo popular.

Both classy - but I prefer Sarah for flow with Renee, less popular right now, and just one of my all time faves. I have major nerd associations with Emily.

I love Emily, simply don't like Sarah. No real reason, I just prefer Emily.

I chose Emily. I think Emily Renee flows better than Sarah Renee and I've also just never been a fan of Sarah. I think it's just too plain and common. And I think Claire Elise and Emily Renee are a great sibset

I like the name Sarah much better, but I don't like Claire and Sarah together, and I don't even believe in "sibsets."

Emily is one of my favorite names but I won't use it because of popularity. If you don't mind then I think it's a great choice and sounds great with claire.

Emily Renee because I think it has better contrast of tones and sounds prettier than Sarah Renee, which is really heavy on R and A sounds.
